*** The Kit Thread 13/14 ***

Yeah its official :(

Pretty much worse than last years shambles...

Not sure what was wrong with some of the better red and white home options or just having yellow/blue away which were classics.

It's just a bland Bristol City/Swindon kit that should be some sort of stripes and not have a gold badge. Plus they want £50 for it which is a bit rich of them

Sucks that Adidas haven't come up with a new marketing brand for you, this '#all in' thing is shocking.

So the stripes have gone for Soton? Gotta get with the times though ennit. Can't be having stripes anymore, or blue kits, nah gotta change those to red to appear more marketable. Badges too. As bland as possible please, we wouldn't want anyone to get confused by all that detail. Less is more, didn't yano?

I don't mind the new sponsor (GWFX), but dat Chinese writing! :(

Aren't most smaller clubs just standard designs with the club logo and sponsor?

Apparently so if they go to a 'big' supplier like Adidas.

I don't think any of Southampton's previous kits have just been off the shelf standard designs with a logo and ~400% mark up though.

Obviously the pit fall of being a smaller club going to a big supplier rather than sticking with a smaller supplier that will actually make you a kit, not just stick your logo on their existing clothing range.

Crock of ****, I hope none of the fans are stupid enough to actually spend £50 on that crap.

If you look above you'll see Swansea are using the same standard template as Southampton. They also did this last year, and the year before :o

It'd be cheaper to buy a blank, get your club logo embroidered at the local market and iron on a sponsor.

You know apparently we were going to have Lotus F1 as a sponsor hence the theme. Doesn't help that we not only got the worst of the generic kits but they have decent striped generic ones anyway...

It's all about these classics for me

One day we'll put it back and go for something like these classics (despite the worst players being pictured in the 09/10 away kit)
