The Leicester City Story NBC Sports.

But a team cheating to get promoted doesn't change what happens with relegation in the league above, it just changes who the relegated club is replaced by.
Not that season, the following season. Any team relegated the following season would argue that Leicester were benefiting from deliberately cheating the FFP rules and were continuing to do so.

Presumably the deal is still currently in place as well.

But is what they did in contravention of Premier League FFP? That's different to Football League FFP.

That would be the issue certainly that the (potentially) illegal investment during the Championship days would also bring them benefits in the Premiership days ie, avoid relegation - so though they would only be fined by the FL presumably but they couldn't take any further action beyond that now, it would open up the option for the relegated club to sue for damages as the PL might not take action themselves.

This could blow up for Leicester, looks like they've been using a front company to get round FFP rules.

Who hasn't been trying to get around FFP? I would expect that anyone with more money than they're allowed to spend due to FFP will be doing much the same.

It's still a great story as it's not like Leicester signed a bunch of expensive big name players to achieve success like QPR did, they're still on the brink of winning the title with a bunch of misfits that none of the top clubs would have touched with a barge pole (maybe Schmeichel aside).
