The local pervert

I remember the Media/English/P.E teacher Mr Dobbs, having a game of soft ball and my old friend ric takes the ball to the balls at some great speed. At this point it would have been acceptable for Mr Dobbs to have allowed Ric to go sit out/go to medical ect. What wasn't acceptable was asking Ric if he wanted to go into the woods so they could have a look at them.

Two of our teachers were done for getting jiggy with sixth form boys and girls in the storage cupboard.

One of them was a dead cert with the creepy beard but I'd never have guessed with the other.

Also some of the girls in my class always used to go on about how one of the (stereotypical lesbian in appearance) PE teachers used to watch them in the showers.

Actually now I wonder why some of the male PE teachers felt it necessary to check that you were showering properly. *Shudder*

There's nothing wrong with being a pervert. I'm a pervert and proud.

Everything is wrong with paedophilia though. That's nasty.

I know I was a little tipsy last night but I can't remember posting that:eek:. I noticed my sig and then suddenly realised I posted about it in Ryans thread and said anyone could use it.. lol

My Gym teacher used to pull up a chair and sit facing the showers with his clip board over his groin. That was freaky. On the plus side, the boys and girls showers were separate BUT you had to cross a doorway to get to the locker/changing section. This applied to both boys and girls so you always used to get an eyeful of the girls as they past their doorway. Vice versa. Good times :D

My Religious Studies teacher who was a priest before turned out to be one too.

May his wife and kids forgive him

We had a geography teacher who would be hands on and personal with everyone, not just the girls.

He would walk behind the students looking down at what they were working on, shake his head, put his hands on their shoulders or sit down beside them and advise them that an ox-bow lake doesn't actually look like an ox.

He would also , on occasion, twang the more mature girl's bra straps through the back of their bri-nylon blouses, this may have over stepped the mark, but he was never reported on.

I'm hard pressed to think of him as a pervert or a paedo, just a friendly bloke who liked his job and liked people, and being close to young folk was a perk of the job [ in a nice way ].

In the 1990s, my secondary school music teacher was partial to squeezing the arms / shoulders etc of male classmates including myself. He didn't get 'done' by the law, but he eventually got ousted from the school mid-term due to children calling him Mr Gay and he never came back.

LOL @ OP's woodwork teacher for liking some wood :P

I'm disappointed really with the education I got. Seems there was more an emphasis on obedience/conforming than actual learning. Teachers ruling the classroom through intimidation/shouting/singling out individuals. You take it as the norm at the time, but looking back now it was simply their inadequacies as teachers to properly engage the class and create a calm environment suitable for learning.

Judging by this thread strict/shouty teachers who'd fly off the handle was quite commonplace for the 80s/90s, basically old relics of an under-funded/under-scrutinised education system.

The thing is now we seem to have landed at the other end of the spectrum with schools being awash with female teachers, primaries in particular. Where their approach is more likely to wrap kids up in cotton-wool and give them no suitable male role models.

You don't think it's possible to control a classroom with a dominant personality AND engage the pupils with imaginative teaching skills ?
A good teacher can do both.

Good teachers aren't very representative of the real world though, you're gonna go through life with ****** bosses 99% of the time, so why should education be much different?

No perverts that I know of, but we had a maths teacher from Iran who was eventually found out to be an illegal immigrant and deported. Feel bad in a way, me and my mates gave him a bit of **** in class at the time with the whole Counter-Strike Source references (terrorists win sound clips)
