The long-winded thread

I spent many years using bookmarks only to store sites I stumbled across that I thought I would struggle to remember, whereas sites I visited frequently I would simply type in the browser every time. e.g. to come here I would type "forums.over" and use the autocomplete and then choose the forum from the forum jump, rather than favourites for each subforum I frequented.

I visit this site more than the book of face, so I just type 'f' and then enter and Chrome does the rest :p

I'm another one for researching.

I become almost obsessive over it, then when it's bought I tend to forget all about the reasons my choice was so arduous.

Cooking.

It's a running joke in our house that although I enjoy cooking and like experimenting, I take an age to make anything. I once took pretty much all day to make chilli con carne. In my defence it was all hand made and the spice paste cook forever to put together and I even made spicy muffins to dip in the chilli.

I'd be no good on Masterchef as I'd never finish anything in time.

Research before a purchase. I take far too long and investigate to frankly absurd levels which is the best [x] to buy for my needs. It can be frustrating but I think I also enjoy it

This :(

Almost everything on my phone is one or two swipes away from the home screen. I can't remember how it got that way but I can't be bothered to move them. Yet it adds an annoying few actions everytime I want to get to something.

But I won't give in!

I'm so glad android now lets you search for apps, every time I open the app drawer i forget my alphabet and it takes 5 minutes to find anything.

I do this sometimes, like when I was buying a keyboard, I was crippled by choice!

I'm the same - too much choice completely destroys me and I spend weeks or even months holding back trying to do research on a purchase. :(

I'm trying to buy a new piano at the moment and it's been 6 months already.

What if we're all reading each others reviews and recommendations? Reading, calculating, recalibrating, checking, reviewing, long-winding.

That's half the fun for me :)

Not sure this counts...
I don't step on cracks on the sidewalk. If the cracks close into a shape and I step on it, my other foot must step on another similar shape so I will actively look for one and hop on it if possible to preserve the 'balance'.

Have you seen a doctor?

Always fill up the car at night when its cooler and travel an extra few minutes to a cheaper petrol station.

Stupid because i don't save any money doing this and because i dont do it on the way to somewhere and make time for it, probably costs me more in terms of time :D

Old habits die hard but i do the enjoy the evening empty road drive

But do you make a spreadsheet with good points & bad points?

I've even gone as far as making a publisher file with about 20 different guitar amps all in their correct (ratio) sizes so I can compare them to each other.
