The longest time without driving?

6 months between passing my test and having any money. i think anyone who spends that much time away should do a refresher now, especially if it's in the first couple of years driving. i freely admit i was shocking when i first started driving again.

5 months my old MGZR got stuck in the snow when I went skiing, could not get it out until it melted at the end of the winter.

I only have the car for a year in total lol
:o

4 years and counting.

Passed my test, then never got in a car again :(

1) Never been able to afford
2) Never wanted to drive again
3) Never needed to drive

  :(

Not having a dig but its stupid that your insurance premium will be lower then someone the same age as you who just passed his or her test

You should be ashamed of yourself!

GET OUT OF MOTORS.... NOWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!

ive just come to the end of my spell of not driving. been 5 weeks. I posted earlier on in the year...i had a dilema...if i got insured when my renewal was due it would have cost me £1060...if i waited till id been driving 2 yrs it come down to £783. so naturally i chose to wait as i didnt wana pay £270 more for something i didnt even want to use anyway :)

3-years :o

Did not need to drive while away at Uni (everything was walking distance :D ). Now back behind the wheel of a car like everyday, & mostly early in the morning :(

2 Weeks whilst away skiing. Do it every year, and getting back behind the wheel always feels odd for a few minutes.

1 year, from a ban, bus pass and pride swallowing for the win

then pretty much 9 months whilst in NYC, had a range rover sport but hardly ever used it so it felt like I didnt drive

18 months for me, a self imposed ban on advice of my doctor following a severe head injury. Basically I couldn't rememebr how old I was, where I was (walton) or what I'd had for breakfast. I seem to remeber not driving being only 1% of my problems

Interestingly it's exacly the same abount of timeas the drunk who hit me was sentenced to prison for and twice as long as he served so he was driving again before me!

6 months after major motorcycle accident in Oct 2001, then 1 month from Jan 2003 after more corrective surgery.
Then 4 days after MORE corrective surgery on 26 June 2006. Then treated myself to a new Impreza STi PPP to commiserate the news that I would need corrective surgery pretty much forever :(
So, Cobra has to go, unless I convert it to an auto, clutch is to heavy for my poor knee.

Couple of days at the most I guess, in the last 3 years. Not being able to drive would be like losing a limb for me.

3 months whilst away at uni on a few occasions. Didn't really miss it and it didn't feel weird at all when I got back in the drivers seat.
