While it's quite amusing I feel a bit for all involved. It's a no win situation really. Players will be exhausted and demotivated from a horror season. Fans have likely played good money. Only winners are the balance sheet. I went to Newcastle V Spurs in Melbourne at the end of last season and it was pedestrian to say the least.

Managers complain about too many matches in the season and then take part in this sort of nonsense.

What do you mean? They don't have a say. They can complain and talk to the high ups but they can't just say "nah, we're not getting on the plane".

Think you'll find it's the bean counters who commit to this, there a various sponsorship obligations to be completed, was it last year or the year before when Newcastle played Spurs a couple of days after the season ended in Oz and the same rhetoric was being said.

Ideally you would end the season and the players would get a good rest before reporting for pre-season but when you want the bucks to roll in then you have to park your ideals and keep the punters entertained (I say this very loosely in Utd's case)

Utd really didn’t need these games regardless of olibigations especially when your losing just gives the club more headache and demoralising

That being said it’s still fun for the rest of us

yeah - that chance a few minutes ago showed you all you need to know about how crap he is. Guarantee that even if he finds the right position - he's on his heels and falls over. Probably too wet for the wee soul.

We really need a prolific striker coming in it would surely be better outcome in matches.

Im sick of watching that atrocious first touch from Hojlund it same thing nearly every time.
