The Missing

Yeah I didn't watch series 1 so I don't know whether the stories are linked, but it was interesting.

Lots of unanswered questions and lots of clues I probably missed because I spent the first few minutes of every cut trying to work out if it was 2014 or 2016.

Keeley Hawes will probably get shot in the head at some point.

Yup. Too many damn switches between time periods.

Yeah I got confused at one point before realising the dad was banging another woman. (present)

Still looks like we'll see some more action and eeriness, story will be solid but it's characters that'll define it.

Enjoyed it, no issues keeping up with the timeline switches (they made it a lot more obvious than in series 1), although if the twist at the end of the episode is to be taken at face value I fear it might get a little silly.

Well second episode was good, multiple possible suspects now it's hard to piece together at this point :p

Do we think Alice is still alive?

Also not sure what the officer at the end had "done"?

So yet another plot twist..

I'm thinking Stone killed Henry reid, which explains the "after what you've done" a few episodes ago. Clearly he's done much worse than that though!

Sam might have had another daughter which could be the third girl?

Julien portrays brilliantly with his facial expressions.

Binged watched it over the weekend and really enjoying it, just hope it doesn't fail at the end and leave questions unanswered. On a side note, being ex mil I get annoyed with attention to detail by programme makers. No idea what cap badge Eve is wearing but it's not RMP and she shouldn't be wearing a cloth cap badge either. Also got far too much authority for a monkey Sgt :)

Also:

As someone who has had extensive use of JPA and mil systems etc there is no way in hell Gemma would be able to find out the information about who her dad served with during the Gulf War when Eve went to answer her phone. It takes ages just change screens.

Yeah those small things are never going to be perfect :p It was either that or nothing :)

Looks like they should be wrapping things up nicely, but there's always going to be some things that are forgotten about / ignored.

Anyone still watching this? :p

Cracking penultimate episode..

Yup, we recorded up to episode 7 and have been watching them in pairs.

Will watch 7 and the final episode tonight. :p

One of these rare series which grabs your attention, reveals some and has you wanting more. It has not let up once. Loving the way it goes backwards/forwards in time and looking forward to a good ending.

Yeah the time switches were a bit too much at times I thought, but not too difficult to follow like some people complained!

First series in a long time that's lived up to it's hype and even had a satisfactory ending. What to watch now?

Have you seen "The Game" from a couple of years ago? It's a BBC cold war spy drama set in 1972. It is quite quirky and funny at times but really cool if you like a mystery being played out.

Yes, seen it and it was very good. I like stuff like this, Tinker Tailor, Smiley's People etc. Currently recording Close to the Enemy so I can watch it all at once.
