The mist...Wow

LOL I cant believe you all liked it, I thought it was utter utter rubbish, it was a struggle to get to the ending tbh it was that bad :( . It was just jumanji on crack and poor lighting.

What?

I watched it last night with the missus, very enjoyable flick. The missus was annoyed with the ending but I think it worked perfectly! Great film.

Agree on the Half Life story comments :D

bad bad very very bad, terrible acting, annoying characters, stupid plot lines and senseless character wipeouts, as if people would do some of the things they did, and a horribly silly ending. Lent it to the hair dressers and asked them to lose it, rank it up there with The Watcher as a waste of my life

has anyone watched the black and white version on the blu ray ?, didnt Frank Darabont want to make it B&W for the theatrical release .

Yep, I watched it a few weeks back. Works really well with the atmosphere of the film, and helps make the creatures look a little bit more believable as well.

Watched this tonight with no expectations at all and was seriously impressed. It's clearly not a mega-budget flick and did have a bit of a B-movie feel but it was so well done that I loved every minute. Well apart from the bits where that bible basher was ranting because I wanted to slap her so much, but even that was good, emotional reaction and all that.

I do like a good zombie flick where they're holed up in a shopping centre or someplace so I was greatly satisfied in that department. Plus the zombies weren't zombies and instead some crazy, savage creatures with a number of interesting ways of subjecting people to an agonising and excrutiating death.

Ticked all my boxes anyway. Film of the decade!

i really must have been watching a different film to most of the people on here. I thought it was utter rubbish. Acting was shocking, story was just plain daft and the FX were poor. I would rewatch it just to make sure I didnt miss some great film but I have already lost 2 hours of my life to this tosh :D

If you said that in front of me I think I'd have to stab you :) (khimbar saying The Green Mile and Shawshank were rubbish)

Right here baby!

Thats the great thing about opinions. I prefer 'monsters and myths' movies to 'men whinging' in prison films.

really liked this movie, never understand why people say the ending is a let down, i thought it was quite a good twist and a nice morbid break form the hero ending norm.

think it makes a good point of what would you do in a position like that, your loved ones are in perilous danger facing a brutilly horrific and painfull death, but you have the power to make it quick and as painless as the situation makes possible. what would you do?

Men whinging in prison? He doesn't even whinge.. He gets on with it.

Yes but it's predictable, emotional manipulative, cheesy rubbish. Shawshank I mean. 2 dimensional characters, in a world that doesn't hold together narratively, motivelessly quoting aphorisms just to lead to the most cliched, hackneyed, Disney ending in a movie that isn't actually animated.

In my opinion of course.

I liked it, the acting and plot was good, right up until the ending.

I thought the ending was too contrived to forced. I like things to have different endings, but the way they did it in this it just didnt work.
