He'd fly. Next.......
but then how would groen get there![]()
I am asking why do they want one, and why now?
Its not crazy talk it makes absolute sense, I for one hope that all the apollo landing sites, bar one perhaps for scientific investigation are totally off limits and are never disturbed, its a rare environment that allows preservation of history on a scale never seen before, hopefully one day when we start living on the moon they will be 'bubbled' off and remain intact for as long as possible.
Read the bloody article.
I know there isn't one. I am asking why do they want one, and why now?
China, privatisation of space. Once private companies start earning money from space trips. I can see space missions ramping up fairly fast. Just need a tipping point in expertise, cost and revenue.
Seems quite sensible, it's only a polite request.

I've decided I own the Moon. It is mine. my precious, and you'll can't touch it!![]()
I picture a massive glass dome being plonked over the sites in the future, much like how I place a glass bowl over a spider on the wall then watch it go "WTF WTF WTF!!!"![]()
You mean before you rape it![]()
He does both
And not always in that order!![]()
iirc it's about 100 years till micrometeorites/general space debris severely damages the sites (machinery pitted and broken, all foot prints gone) so the site will have to be secured and protected before then.
It seems they now want to try and stop any acceleration of the process which is most certainly understandable.
