The most dumbed down Android programming tutorial....

Hi all

Just started doing the Android tutorials on the Android site and.... got lost quite early on!

Is there any really dumbed down tutorials that explain every line and every bit of the line?!

I managed the list tutorial and the hello world one but didn't really understand what I was doing. I work with ASP and PHP mostly so this is quite different.

Any recommendations appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Android uses the Java language right? so if i were you pick up a Java book as programming apps is different programming for the web and just work your way through it.

Also there are some books available from a well known book retailer which covers programming for the android which maybe worth a look but they seem aimed more at developers.
