Might sound like an odd thread title but after just finishing Red Dead Redemption on the 360, while doing tons of side quests as I went I still have over 20% of the game to go!

Technically this game is astonishing imo(superior to GTA series imo). The world and all of it's various land types, the weather effects and sun sets etc. are just so amazing. The attention to detail is brilliant. The graphics generally are brilliant(superior to Fallout or Oblivion imo).

All the voice work, there's just so much stuff I haven't mentioned!

I just can't get my head around the fact that they crammed so much stuff on to 1 360 disk(as well as the fact that the 360 or the PS3 for that matter can run games of this quality).

What do you think is the most impressive 360 title that has come on 1 disk?

(it boggles my mind the size and quality of games that will be possible in the next generation of consoles)

Well it's because the game world is mostly completely open landscapes isn't it :p

There is obviously a lot of open landscape because of the type of game it is :)

It has different types of land the further you get into the game, such as forests, mountains etc.

The world feels so alive, it is like being in a movie ie being there, which illustrates the details that exist in even the open landscapes.

Every metre you ride is completely different.

Astonishing, the attention of detail and Rockstar's ability to make a world come alive.

EDIT:

Did you want to add a game that has impressed you the most?

Just Cause and Just Cause 2 are fairly impressive also.

But on the opposite side of the spectrum the biggest wastes of media I have seen so far is Naughty Bear weighing in at a massive 600MB released as a premium title with a premium price tag when the game should have been a live download with a low MS point value to go with it.
