The most middle-class first-world problems...

I've just noticed that the Nespresso pods I use will run out in about 4 days, Amazon won't have stock to replace them until the 27th February. The thought of having to use a cafetiere with fresh ground coffee over the convenience of a pod in a Nespresso machine is stressing me out.
Heck of a lot tastier though! I enjoy the 8 minutes break/meditation that it takes me to grind fresh beans and brew a coffee in my Aeropress.

Freeze dried coffee? Bleurgh..

The salt blocks in the water softener are running low and I totally forgot to order replacement blocks. Not looking forward to a hard water shower!

Using a Nespresso machine is working class.

My robot vacuum cleaner went past the cat litter box and drove through a stray poop.

Skid marks are real.

Honestly the best home gadget I ever bought.
I have all wood floors and 2 cats so there's a lot of hair fluff.
Mines mid range price and for that I think it's bloody fantastic.
Might not be as good on carpet but for me.
If this broke I'd buy a new one within the hour lol.
That coming from the consumerism thread.
I class it as essential as a fridge or freezer :p

Not stairs yet no. I'm sure they will be flying in ten years though.

Any recommendations on a specific model?

Mines a roborock s5max made by Xiaomi.
Chinese megacorp most known for phone's.
It has a mop too for lino/wood if you need that.

Roomba is the premium brand.

I really do recommend mine or the model above s6max I'm sure there will be a 7 soon too.

I guess a lot of this all depends on your attitudes towards smart homes and intrusion.

Thanks! Will take a look :)

Get it and try it out for a week, return it if it's not for you. It's scummy but it's the only way you can really appreciate it.

Mine is reasonably clever working by a map it makes and radar/ladar. The cheap ones just bump into stuff. Don't recommend them.

I don't work for them btw.

Haha, an excellent suggestion. How long does it last off one charge in the real world?

Well it can probably do about 150 to 200square meters and be flat, but they drive themselves back to the docking station and self charge when they need to. I wouldn't worry about battery life too much.
I have mine on max suck all the time too. :P
They can eat cables and loose socks etc but those problems care ironed out in newer more expensive models.

The s5max is a good balance
