**The "My PC Show" Thread**

5 Oct 2008
I've just been wondering what other people on here's PCs are and what they look like. I also want a place to show mine off a bit. I also thought this thread might be a good place for new system builders to look, so they can see pictures of what people's PCs look like in their cases in real life situations (rather than pics shown on sales sites) as they normally look better. The prospective system builders can also see what the components are aswell. I've been looking for a thread like it, but haven't seen one so here it is.

This thread does have the possible problem that pages may start to fill up quite quickly so try to keep images in JPEG format (around 500KB) or lower and limited to four pictures (feel free to suggest alternatives). Also if anyone knows how to set them as thumbnails (apparently smaller) then feel free to tell me and I'll do that with mine.

I'll only bother posting pictures of my main system for now, but I may start posting other pictures later.

:( Ow, didn't see that one. Nevermind :) People can ignore this one if they want to :p

Ah np mate :)

I've RTM'd your post anyway, so I'm guessing a mod will just lock it.

Machines looking good btw... if I wasn't in the middle of moving home (AGAIN) I'd post some pics of my babies :p

My main PC
C2Q Q6600 (SLACR) @ 3GHz under Tuniq Tower
Asus P5K Premium/WiFi-AP motherboard
4GB G.Skill DDR2 PC6400
nVidia 8800 GTX @ stock
1x 500GB HDD
1x 120GB HDD

Seasonic M12 Modular 700W PSU
Akasa Eclipse case with the side panel window installed.
Blue cold cathode for added effect
Bog standard DVDRW
Windows Vista Home Premium x64 (SP1 installed)

I need to replace the SSD drive that Vista is installed on to one of the new Vertex ones that have come out, as the OCZ Core series has stuttering issues which can be a right pain in the backside at times. Other than that I'm happy with it :)
The 8800GTX and the Q6600 still pump out anything I throw at them at full settings at 1680*1050 (21" Dell Ultra Sharp monitor I believe).

Our Media Centre HTPC
C2D E2140 @ 2GHz
Gigabyte GA_965P_DS3 motherboard
2GB GeIL DDR2 PC6400
1x 500GB HDD

Compro VideoMate E700 Dual PVR DVB-T Tuner
nVidia 7800GT @ stock speeds
In a Silverstone Lascala LC17 (silver)
Bog standard DVDRW
Windows Vista Home Premium 32bit (SP1 installed)

The HTPC is probably going to get some love in the coming months. New GFX, BluRay, more memory and a faster CPU... but that can wait :p
Getting a 42" Panny tele to replace our old trustworthy 26" Hanns G bought from OcUK about three years ago now.
Looking at one of the Optoma HD65 projectors as well.
