Somebody tell me how this trick works

I think it's something to do with when he pinches and pulls but I can't quite work it out.

It looks to me like the illusion was that it was ever on the other side in the first place.

How does the pinch and pull work then?

by pressing the band into each other and pulling down at the same time they trap the one he's holding and tangle up.

This is just a speculation, I'd need to raid the stationary cupboard for rubber bands

Somebody tell me how this trick works
I think it's something to do with when he pinches and pulls but I can't quite work it out.

It's after he goes left to right, then pulls it back hard, he swaps between fingers to bring band to the other side. Simple slight of hand trick.
