Who's seen the pictures of this? And the specifications?

I managed to get my hands on a fresh off the print magazine last night (I can't actually remember it's name) and it had a huge article on the new M3 and many photos. To me it looks absolutly gorgeous and I'm sure it's going to be an excellent machine. Has anyone any substantial information on this car?

Also, what do you think will happen to the prices of the E46 M3's when this is released? I understand they will drop, but by just how much is the question.
 
Supposed power is between 400 and 420 hp, and I estimate the weight will be around 1620 kg, so appx. 250hp/ton. Performance will be in the ballpark of 4.5-5.0s 0-60, and 0-100 in ~10.5s :D
 
E46 M3 prices have been depreciating heavilly for some time already in expectation of the new M3.

Depreciation is often horrendous on this type of car, be prepared to throw plenty of money away in exchange for lots of fun.
 
From what I know BMW haven't yet released an official picture of the new M3? I'd expect it to blow the doors off the RS4 and probably the M5/M6 but also to cost around £55k.

E46's are dirt cheap now with the mileage steadily getting ever so higher on them. I'm preparing to buy one once they drop below the £15k mark.

There are no official pictures, but there are 100's of mule shots and 100's of Photoshop efforts doing the rounds. I don't think it will 'blow off' the RS4 and it will have to be something seriously special to blow off an M5 or M6. It will be very quick I am sure, but to blow off such cars you need a hell of a lot more than 400 - 450 hp. I would hope it will be the best of the lot to drive though.

I think when it finally arrives it will look the part. I remember the E46 looking much the same when it was a mule and when it arrived people seemed to like it...
 
I can't see BMW releasing a car that is bound to be compared to the RS4 that won't actually be better than it (Edit: or at least I hope not!), they have the M3's reputation to uphold and finally have a little competition for it!

They should be able to squeeze more bhp out of their V8 than Audi have since the S4 isn't capable of beating the old M3. I'd like to see it sub 4.5 seconds to 60 too.
