The importance of a good quality case sporting dust filters!

Just look at all the dust that your PSU could be sucking up!

And if you have an intake fan then...

That's a month or two worth of build-up! I guess laminate flooring isn't so great at holding dust in one area :p

+1 for decent filters, just cleaned my lian li this evening, quite a bit of dust getting to the psu so ive added a filter below it. Cleaning the whole system reduced cpu temps by 4-5c and gpu temps by 8-9c.

I can't get over how silent the Cooler Master Silencio really is. Now the Mac Pro sounds louder than the PC in the computer room, yet the Mac Pro is whisper quiet. The Silencio is so silent it nearly sounds like it's not running. Hardly any sound from the hard drive. Can only just hear it since the whole case is so quiet. You have to really listen for it. It seems the loudest part coming from this area is the MX1000 mouse clicks.

Maybe the extra foam I added to the floor and roof helped a lot as well as the rubber mounts for the fans/power supply. I also never tested the stock fans, swapped them over for two Lian Li 1500rpm (running at 1000rpm on the fan controller) and one Bitfenix Spectre 1000rpm on the rear.

Cable management is ace as well. Too easy in fact.

The X2 4600+ in this idles about 31/33c with the fans on low rpm. Tested Prime95, sits just under 50c. Graphic card idles about 54c.
