I'm new around these parts so I thought I'd show my latest build (unfinished):

n514792710_475242_7846.jpg

Specs are:

-Thermaltake Kandalf LCS
-Intel Core 2 Quad Pro Q6600
-Coolermaster Real Power 1000w Modular Power Supply
-Asus Striker II Formula nForce 780i
-8 GBs G.Skill RAM
-Geforce 9800GTx2 (Dual GPU)
-150 GB WD Raptor HD
-750 GB Samsung Spin Point HD

Got a BFG GeForce 9800 GX2 on the way too.

Currently need to tidy up the cables and get the GPU in there once it arrives.

I'm actually using 2 blue LEDs from an old build just to highlight areas :) The 9600 is ok, doesn't run CoD4 on 1680 x 1050 prticularly smoothly on full whack with AA, but then technically it is a budget card

Spec as sig, great first build, the PC 7+ is really easy to use. Now just waiting for a bit more cash then will upgrade to a E8400.

Some great cases on this thread!

Nice looking build looks very tidy, just a bit concerned your ram doesn't look as though it's pushed all the way in, might be worth checking over.;)

Biggest pos ive ever owned in terms of airflow, its non existant near the top of the case around the cpu\northbridge etc regardless if the vga shroud is on or not, directing that intake at the bottom is also a waste of time.

Switching back to my p182 hopefully tomorrow.

Guys, I'm thinking of spraying the inside of my Lexa black with Plasticote. A little concerned I'm gonna make a hash of it though. Anyone got any tips?

Also, how should I finish it?

Thanks.

Shame looks better then a p182.

Does look better, but the p182 while being cramped was much more functional, secondly antec actualy respond to emails. Ive sent several to coolermaster asking about additional cooling for this pos and ive yet to get one response back.

"cooler" master my arse.

Cosmos s 1100 (turned up yesterday, so cable management is not quite there yet)

Hows your core temps, PWMs etc.... with this case?

I have the Cosmos 1000 and wanted to compare temps etc....

Thanks in advance :)

CPU 32.32.34.38

PWM is at 39 (was at 44 last night) i used to have a fan blowing on it on my old stacker so i imagine its gonna get a bit warmer now

GPU 47

HDD's 23 and 24 degrees

as i say they were a bit warmer last night and maybe one or two degrees higher than my old stacker 830

edit.

there is a 3.2 overclock on it so temps will be a little higher, especially on the pwm

Thanks for the info :)

I'll be able to compare them to mine and see if I need the extra cooling as Im going to push my Q6600 overclock from 3.0Ghz to 3.6Ghz.

Are all the your Sharkoon fans 120mm? and are they the 1000 or 2000 models? Is the case loud with all those fans etc running?

Sorry for all the questions ;)

no probs !!

there are 5 120 sharkoons

the sys fan and to 2 (from left) are 2000 rpm running at 1200 on the onboard controller

top right and bottom intake are 1000 rpm on a molex

the case isnt any louder than my old stacker but you can certainly hear the air being pushed around, also there is no sound absorbtion material in the case unlike the previous model.

right side panel is a mare to get closed when there are cables routed in front of it.

Thanks m8, you've been really helpful, & nice build by the way :)

Last question if I may? I see that the intake fan on the case bottom is screwed in? is it screwed in from underneath thru into the case just using normal fan screws? I only ask as my Cosmos has a fan there too but it cant be screwed in directly, it needs a fan casing!

Thanks again :)
