*** The New Cases Gallery ***

Did a bit of research and bought a Nanoxia Deep Silence 5. Seems very well made, very quiet but has good airflow. The locking mechanism for the drive trays must be lifted off a nuclear sub and the case is bloody heavy too. I have now put my fan controller facing into the case - can't shut the door otherwise - and have set the fans for good airflow while remaining very quiet. Highly recommended and IMO a better made case than my old 750D.

Apologies about the lack of pictures (iPotato does a **** job of it), mines the anthracite model and its very similar to the titanium model of the Fractal design define cases. Very minimalist look, no silly lights, etc. :)

I'm finding it really hard to get pictures of this case without it turning pink! I wish I had got an AIO or something with an LED on it as you can't see anything on the mobo as it's all.. black!

My build - Completed Jan 2016

The build I would say is powerful but modest. It's not the best PC but it can handle most anything I throw at it. I'm in a good place just now as I don't have anything I want to upgrade at all. Maybe next year I might go to skylake, or M.2 SSD. But for now I am at peace.

Motherboard - MSI Z97 PC Mate.
Does the job perfectly for me, suits my blue theme and a very good price. I don't miss any of the features that it might be "missing".
RAM - 16GB of 2400Mhz DDR3 RAM.
Again, does the job perfectly well. Wasn't the most expensive RAM but it works fine. I need 16GB for video editing and rendering.
CPU - Intel i5 4690K (Overclocked to 4.5Ghz stable at 1.22v).
Great CPU for my needs. Don't have much need for hyperthreading so saved a lot of money going for i5 over i7. I play a lot of FSX which is all about straight up clock speed. So this CPU fits the bill perfectly.
GPU - Asus Strix R9 390x (Overclocked to 1100Mhz stock voltage).
A fairly recent upgrade for me. I had a GTX770 prior. I got this card so I could power the rift. I've since gone off that idea but none the less very happy with this card. Keeps me playing at Ultra graphics at 1080p. I won't upgrade again until I have a 4K monitor and a single card can run 4K well.
CPU Cooler - Arctic Cooling Freezer 13 Pro
I was going to buy the Evo 212 but at the time (and due to my old case design) I didn't want to have to remove my motherboard to do it. So I got this, £5 less, no backplate required and because it appears I was quite lucky on the silicone lottery this cooler works just fine. I could probably squeeze another 100Mhz out of her with a 212 Evo but I'm not fussed about that. The cooler matches my Case fans too which is nice. Heavy gaming load typically sits mid 50's peaking mid/high 60's @ 4.5Ghz - 1.23v.
Stress testing at 1.24v is high 70's. Never gets to 80

Case - NZXT S340 in black and blue.
Most recent purchase, first "proper" case. I love this case. Everything about it. The look, the ease, the quality and the airflow. Can't see me changing this case in a long time.
Case fans - Arctic Cooling F12 (120mm)
These were very cheap, great reviews and I love the look of them (black and white with some blue). They seem to be working perfectly.
PSU - Corsair CX600
Probably the weakest part of my build. I think with my GPU and overclocks I'm getting pretty close to my limit with this PSU, but... It's working fine and never put a foot wrong. So I will continue to use it. Not bothered by the fact it's not modular because cables are hidden so well by the case, but sleeved or black cables would be nice. Can't justifying buying a new PSU just for that thought so it shall remain for now.
SSD - 1TB SanDisk Ultra 2.
This baby is a beast. as It's 1TB and I can put all my programs and games on it. Couldn't be happier. Will continue to use this until M.2 becomes affordable. This drive has Windows 10 on it and is my primary boot drive.
HDD - 2TB Seagate
Stores files. Runs my Windows 7 Desktop. Plays FSX. Still works. End of.
Ext HDD - WD 2TB
Stores files. Works.
Lighting - Two 30cm White LED strips.
As I was so chuffed with my new case I got some cheap lighting to light it up. Simple stuff, just stuck one along the top and one down the front at the side. Work nicely.

Finally got round to giving a few pictures of the new case. A Nanoxia Deep Silence 5. Highly recommend it to anyone after a solid, weighty case that gives silence and good airflow.

The case has a minimalistic look which I like. The feet keep it off the floor by about ~2cm, with all intake positions fitted with a dust filter.

The doors are plastic, but quite thick and solid. The foam behind helps keep noise to a minimum, with the slats allowing air to be sucked into the case.

The front fans are fitted to the filter - which may be a pain come cleaning time. The fans are good quality, 140mm in size with decent airflow and are very quiet.

The bottom fan goes through the hard drive cage - still allowing a reasonable airflow - but the top is straight into the case via..

Top of the case can also accommodate two more fans, with the blanking plates being like the front doors. Thick, solid plastic with foam insulation.

Both side panels are thick steel and well insulated by foam. The right side has slightly less insulation as it hides cables. Here's the left side panel. These two weigh a ton on their own..

Finally, here's the internals. Case was a pleasure to build in - even after a pint or two.. :D - with plenty of holes to tuck cables away into.

edit: After monitoring them properly, CPU & GPU (One of these) gets to 65c while playing R6: Seige (3440x1440 almost all at highest ~55fps avg). :)

Gawping at some of these builds, not sure I could ever stomach doing a W/C build ;)

Get an LED strip?

Almost finished my upgrade, (braided cables + larger ssd & pci slot covers still to be installed).

Chromax rubber fan mounts and vinyl stickers (psu, fans & ssd) applied today.

Still rocking the akasa eclipse! Complete new system though and much better than the old one! Just got cable tidying and some braiding to get done, but my res and cpu led's are done now :D

I rebuilt my pc into a inwin 909 case

its an air cooled build atm but will watercool in future, my crappy phone camera probably doesnt do it much justice though

Beautiful case, what's the airflow like?

I am tempted by a new case soon. Got a corsair 500r at the moment which I love but fancy a change.

sod it, im buying a new case lol!

Going to go for this:
NZXT
H440 New 2015 Edition Case - Matte Black

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/nzxt-h440-new-2015-edition-case-matte-black-ca-172-nx.html

With the HUE kit and some additional white braided cables!

I do like my case, but it has been abused and modified so much now.

ordered! Will be here tomorrow before 12, and then I will have a long day at work waiting to get home :(

HUE kit not ordered yet however, going to look into that a bit more before buying

Wanna know what abused looks like you should see mine, looks like an axe and a machine gun had a fight in there, its slowely turning into a computer shaped sieve. Im gonna see if it can outlive me though.

haha!! That would be interesting to see.

New case arrived today - very clean.

My Plan of attack short term is to:

*Tidy up the cables for the CPU fans
*Wrap the SSD's in sticker bomb vinyl - random gaming images etc
*Modify the Geforce logo to make it white - will require dismantling and sanding the green paint off the logo
*Replace the top two fans with plain black ones OR replace the rear & front three fans with the white LED corsair fans I already have.
*Install NZXT Hue + for lighting

Longer term plans:
*SLI
*CPU water cooler - probably corsair OR full custom loop if I am feeling brave.

EDIT: Just realised I forgot to plug in the fan hubs PWM cable so the chassis fans are going on max speed. Very quiet to be honest but I think I will plug that in tomorrow so I can control all the case fans.

Why have you got the GPU AIO fan as intake?

That's a fair question. :p

I moved it around to intake after having some issues with the GPU temps under load. They are actually a touch better than they were in exhaust.

I'm soon going to be getting rid of the G10/H55 and put the card into the Predator loop, so this will be a moot point. At that time I will be testing a rear exhaust vs rear intake and seeing what the temps do.
