**The New Official THIEF-Incorporating Bench mark Thread**

And people then questioned the one he replaced it with.
Surely if he replaced the 99fps one because he was cheating he wouldn't have posted the new one if that was also cheating?

When someone admits to cheating, it takes a while again for people to trust them i guess.

To use the wrong settings by mistake does not mean he cheated.

Is that what they call it these days? :D :p

The problem as I see it, is that some forums allow tweaks.

Maybe we need to add to each bench thread that tweaks are not allowed.

But then you have the problem when some one throws a curve ball score in.

I'm with you. :)

I think the way to go is for the person running the thread to interpret the rules and allow scores in the way they deem right. This should not be a problem as long as they are consistant and fair.

The problem with putting extra rules in the OP is people will still find loopholes and this will cause endless arguments.

As to this thread Humbug should have the last word and we should refrain from endless debate which ruins the thread.

This could lead to more confusion - different threads different rules, adding the line No Tweaks allowed would remove any confusion.

With or without this would still happen

100% agree

If I had a CPU that could do 5.3 I would send you packing, sadly I don't so I will have to be content with the higher resolutions.:D

You should be able to beat my score Kaap under Mantle. Something is not right. You said you got zero gain from overclocking at 1080P. Your cpu at 4.7ghz is probably almost as fast, if not faster than mine at 5.3ghz in this game. Something else is at play here i think. You should stomp my score with ease under Mantle.

+1.

You can still get a bottleneck with Mantle, the difference is it is at a much higher point than when using DX11.

On this bench having more cores and threads does not seem to make much difference.

You could set your CPU to 4.8 with Mantle and see how many fps you can score and compare it to mine.

Sounds like a plan. Post your score and tell me what to do in great detail Kaapilini. :p

Finally working xfire with mantle .. 2 x r9 270x 4gb @ 1080/1400 i7 930 @ 4 ghz

Min fps : 41.9 max fps: 99.5 avg fps: 73.4 ... 1080p.. Not the best but I'm well happy with that :D full settings too with AA and everything.. Now to get playing it :)

Overclock that cpu and gpu dude and test again. Nonetheless, that's a good score for the cards you have.

You need to run the bench two or three times to build up the Mantle cache files, then you blitz it with your overclocked run.

I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to overclocking CPU , but I had to tone it down a little as the overclock wasn't booting when it was above 4ghz , plus I'm still rocking the air cooler :) haha .. I will test a few more times tho would like to see the max go above 100 .. Would this benchatch a single 290
?

Are you saying would it beat a 290? Yes it would.
