The 750 Ti has finally been dethroned as the King of the uncabled graphics world. Until now the EVGA 750ti Superclocked has been the performance king for gaming without the need for any power beyond what the pcie slot provides,

Asus* are releasing 2 versions of the 950 that are just as energy conscious dethroning EVGA's 750 ti as the gaming option for systems without additional power or leads to spare. I look forward to seeing EVGA's own version at some point and seeing how ASUS's 950 stands up to the pcie powered 360 that HIS are also releasing.

this king have a very short life :D
in few months we will see double the perf for the same TDP, can hardly be excited about this release so close to die shrink.

We don't know how long it will be until this particular level of card is replaced by a next gen offering, How late was the 750/ti to the party after the start of the 700 gen? It was a while so it could still be a good 6 to 9 months until this is replaced and the fact they now have an option that's faster than the 750ti SC I mentioned is great, It was a shame when they didn't have them in the 950's starting line-up so better late than never.
It'll be a great addition for making pre-built PC's such as the HP Pavilion I used to own capable of gaming.

Didn't AMD demonstrate their new card only drawing 80 ish watts of power vs the 950 or 960 can't remember which used almost double the power? Id say they are pritty close to releasing.

it's different, the 750Ti came after years spent on the same process to refine proficiency, and next gen line up they all will be fairly small chips and huge die shrink, both nvidia and AMD releasing Mobile GPU first, so they are banking on low power chips, so the chances of them having low end gaming under 75TDP is a given imo.

I'm sure these cards are incoming but none of us know the actual time-frame so there no more than pie in the sky until they actually release, so for now the 950 replaces the 750ti as the go to cableless gaming card.
