The next best C&C type RTS ?

Fair enough, but Generals wasn't set in the C&C universe...
 
red alert 2 wasnt bad but i think that was because they still had a lot of the westwood staff.


I totally agree with what kreeee said about C&C genrals.


And as for Red Alert 3, i heard it got canned when the last of the WestWood left to go to Blizzard (or someone along the same lines)

Mind you, WarCraft 3 was pap too...

I wish the development teams would produce games with very accurate unit response, fast pace, huge diversity and a competitive environment. I don't want any noncy, laggy 3D rubbish with heroes or some apalling resource gathering system and the game should be designed around the following:

Harassment
Intelligence
Speed
Diversity
Creativity

Red Alert 2 was not bad at all but the sever lack of diversity, range of possible tactics and very poor unit response made it end up as a simple game online and it was made far to easy to simply refine the same build order everygame and cream anyone 1v1 :(

EA are pathetic at making C&C games. They took a generic RTS and tacked the C&C name onto it.

true, however, I do think Red Alert 1 was much more fun than Starcraft :)

I never got into RA post RA:Expansion packs. I was more a tiberium junkie, yeah, love that stuff. Generals is my medicine nowadays.

single player, undoubtedly. Online? No chance!

Loved playing RA on wireplay, but...never ever played Starcraft MP :o
