****The Nintendo 3DS Thread****

Hmm, Nintendo are making this tempting.
I just don't play my original 3DS enough so not sure I can justify a 'new' 3DS.

Game are doing trade in deals if that helps?

Terms and Conditions: Offer is valid 13/02/15 until 26/02/15. In-store offer only. Get the new 3DS for £79.99 when you Trade-In an original 3DSXL, for £94.99 when you trade-in an original 3DS, for £104.99 when you trade-in a 2DS for £109.99 when you trade-in an original 3DSXL, for £124.99 when you trade-in an original 3DS and for £134.99 when you trade-in a 2DS.

I'm assuming the 2nd set of prices is for the n3DSXL since it seems to not make sense any other way.

My 3ds XL is in perfect condition still got box etc. But I don't have the original stylus just a cheap non OEM one I wonder if that will affect it. I am also worried if I trade in at the same time I will lose all my games etc I downloaded on to this one and the small balance I still have on my account. Unless they transfer it in store I will lose everything :(

Doesn't look that way from the website.

I'm probably going n3DS this time, the XL is too large for the low resolution of the 3DS, also I like the faceplates. the MM one looks great.

I just got off the phone with Nintendo. You can transfer your games/account onto the new one from your old 3ds/3dsxl. Just need them both on at the same time with one on the setting sending and the other receiving :)
My issue is trading it in you cant have them both at the same time :(

You may be able to come to some sort of arrangement in store at GAME, use your phone as a hotspot to do the transfer in store, or perhaps they would allow you to take both away and then get the difference refunded when you take back your original console after you've done the transfer. I'm sure I heard people did that when the 3DS XL came out.

Stupid right, I don't understand why nintendo haven't sorted their store situation out.

I think I actually want the New 3DS, It looks nicer IMO, the interchangeable plates are a bonus as well and as said, the smaller screen does suit the low res really. I'll have to get the Majora for collection but I also have my Fire Emblem XL so can always use that still.

Had an urge for some pokemon this week so was looking into the N3DS XL but while looking around Grainger games had an unboxed but mint red XL listed for £80 as a normal 3DS, thought I'd play dumb and give it a shot expecting them to say it was on the wrong stand but they sold it no questions asked so it was too good a price to turn down.

Now ordered soul silver and a pokewalker, I sold my last 3DS as I never seemed to have Tims to play it but my gaming time has increased again so decided it was a justified purchase... Now to spend the money saved and then some on games.

Not sureo n shipping but both SE of the n3DS XL are £180ish.

Using my GFs Prime, its 4 Euros, not sure about non prime membership or whether it makes a difference.

I think it will be on Nintendo store very soon as it's now appeared on the game page saying a special ed available.

Kind of annoying the cpu is different in the new 3ds, means some of the new games wont work on the older models =(

But it was the same with the DS and DSi. Also the Gameboy and Gameboy Color. So it was to be expected that some of the new games wont work on the older models.
