****The Nintendo 3DS Thread****

It can recognise upto 128 I believe. You've got to format it to fat32 though.

It can apparently so I've been reading but 128 is way to expensive. 64's on the other hand are only about £10 more than a 32, its silly for me not to slap a 64 in and forget about needing more space anytime soon.

As this is just a refresh, Is there any news of an actual new handheld from Nintendo? The 3DS is old now.
Released early 2011 wasn't it, I wouldn't call it that old.

I have just pre-ordered a metallic black New 3DS XL. My wife is going to kill me. I have not even told her about it; she will just have to find out when it arrives. If I tell her before hand she would just block it with emotional blackmail.

Wish me luck; this will be my 5th games machine in the house; hence why she will be annoyed. hopefully I will still be able to post here after the 13th

:D

I wouldn't worry... I've pre-ordered the Majora's Mask new 3DS XL and have to explain to the wife why 3DS number ten is arriving at the house...

Expect nothing till deep into 2016.

4 years it quite some time and if we're waiting until late 2016, 5 and a half years. Ouch!

So reading this thread; can someone confirm: Does the New 3DS XL take a standard SD Card or a Micro SD? And what is the max storage it will recognize?

I've still got both the XL Majora's Mask console on pre-order from Nintendo and the regular 3DS on pre-order from GAME. The logic there, if there was any, was to see which one I'd want more nearer the time as I'd be less biased since I had both on pre-order.

My handhelds never really leave the flat in all fairness, if I'm out and about I don't want to be fumbling around with any portable console. But for prolonged periods of use I'm not sure which would be better.

Another thing is I will certainly be getting Majora's Mask if I get the normal version, so the price gap starts to fade when that's considered.

The USA don't know how easy they've got it having the choice of only one! (Even though they keep complaining, it makes me happy they've got less choice than us this time).

64GB is overkill, from what I can understand most estore games are under 2GB, even more are under 1GB :D.
