All retail games are saved to the cartridge. Only extra data, such as DLC are saved to the SD.

This is whay I bought the retail version of MM, even though I have it preinstalled on my XL. I dont want to take that out while traveling so I take my normal 3DS instead with cartridge inside.

I'm looking for a case like that Raymond, but for the regular n3ds. I haven't found one yet as many of the 'old' 3ds cases seem to be too small for the new 3ds.
 
Yes! my MM 3DS has arrived from Germany.

Still waiting on the White smaller one from France.

Then I can decide which I prefer.

Still annoyed I had to buy a charger, ridiculous from Nintendo but I do really like the console itself. So much nicer than the old 3DS

Don't get me wrong, I've just bought all 3 of the others, but OOT leads on to MM so it make's sense :)
MM and MH4 have only just come out so plenty of time before stock becomes and issue, and Pokemon, well, don't get me wrong I just bought X to play myself, but the game is holding it's value crazy well but is common, whereas OOT is a bit harder to get :)

Oh and my MM arrived today finally :) Pre-order ho-hum!
 
Well still no charger, contacted nintendo they said they havent sent one out.. There is an error on their system at the moment
So they have given me a promo code to get it for free :)
But the code doesnt work :(

Dont think me and nintendo are supposed to get along

Its stupid not to think they don't have some kind of record of the games you purchase at their end, though i am surprised i got my games back.

Maybe because i continued to use the same NNID with my Wii U after i sold my 3DS put me in favor of getting them back quickly? I dunno...

Hopefully this new club Nintendo they are designing is some sort of account system for digital games!
 
Yeah, now software is tied to NNID, its the NNID that's tied to hardware.
They do it to help protect the value of their software - they just need to make it easier to move an NNID, and perhaps add some sort of family sharing feature.

I'd be extremely surprised if the new club nintnedo system does not use NNID login.

Probably wouldn't offer great protection from high falls, but I'm more after something that offers some protection against general wear and small bumps etc, while being compact so that it still fits in my jacket pocket.
