A random cocktail inspired by a Tequila Sunrise...

Peach Schnapps
Orange Juice
Pineapple Juice
Grenadine

Grenadine poured down the side of the glass to the bottom to give the sunrise effect

Grenadine is nice, it' the first time I've had it, only £3.50 from Tesco.

I'm now living in Bordeaux, and am still not quite over how extraordinary the selection of red wine is here, even in the tiniest corner shop.

I'm currently starting at a Chateau Roque LaJarre 2008, Bordeaux Superieur which set me back €3.50. It's weird, the more wine I drink, the better it tastes.

Gin, no tonic available, no lime available, so gin and squeezed lemon and ice.

Also to Ahleckz I feel I ought to say, in this thread as it's your home, I missed the Glasgow night out because I went away on holiday earlier than intended after finding some nice cheap flights. I'd say I feel bad but that would be a lie - blazing sun and sand in Croatia quickly eradicate any guilt. Hope it was a good 'un.

This evenings tipple is Serbian plum brandy:

Really, really nice! Pale in colour, very sweet and pretty lethal at 45%. Never had it before, it's very interesting and makes a change from Cognac.

I'm studying the second year of my degree here.

I should say that, although the red wine is excellent and cheap here, almost everything else is more expensive than it is in the UK.
