Too true, the last bottle I bought was supposed to last a 'while'. Started drinking it with a friend when another popped in to visit and before we knew it the bottle was pretty much empty.

Lidl were selling Glenlivet 10 but rebranded something else for dirt cheap a few months back. It is quite possible that your whisky is a proper named whisky but overstock sold on the cheap.
