How was the debate Rob?
It was ok, only half hour. A few Essex MP’s backing it and for their own reasons, Jim Shannon and Gavin Williamson. South and east London MP’s were conspicuous in their absence, but the demographics of those areas means they probably don’t give a ****, despite Southwark having the first and most famous pie and mash shop, Manze’s on Tower Bridge Road.

A lot of the debate seemed to concentrate on the fact that we don’t celebrate our own food enough. We have around 30 protected foods whereas the likes of France has over 600.

I'm pulling your leg Rob. It took the Italians love pf Pizza for the Bread I just cooked to exist.

Maybe not Pie and Mash but British cuisine/chefs/restaurants are far more highly regarded internationally than they once were.
