I wonder why they only do certain burger types at participating restaurants?..makes no sense,I couldn't have one because my local isn't listed as a participating restaurant! :(

Ended up with a Quarter pounder.

I don't tend to eat the specials much, i prefer the american style ones they do once a year!

It was our local CAMRA branch's summer curry night last night so I was a bit naughty. Making up for it today. Only had 2 bacon rolls and the following today (followed by some fresh mango).

Three bean vegetarian chilli:

8 hours in the slow cooker.

Very, very tasty and only 306kcal (193 without the creme fraiche and cheese). The best of it is, I have another 6 portions for the freezer

How much did that much cost you.....I always find McDonald's expensive for what it is.... especially if you get individual burgers....I always end up getting massive mixed Donner instead which fills me up and it's cheaper....

I was impressed myself, only my second go at doing them so really pleased with the results. Went at about 80% hydration on these, may go more for my next batch!

80% hydration is my favourite for that style of bread though I've seen pictures of people getting good results with 100% and higher  Personally I think that would be a little too annoying to work with.

I haven't had the spicy but I have had the classic.

It's a lot better than their usual stuff. The bun is much better, the patties are thicker and they use real cheddar rather than the usual plastic crap they stick on everything else.

Much closer to a 'premium' burger and taste much fresher, but still not close to the likes of GBK.

Their location choices don't make sense. The nearest one to me that does it is absolute chav central, even more than most McDonalds. The majority of punters aren't interested. They're only interested in big macs or quarter pounders and chicken nugget happy meals for the 5 kids they're dragging behind them.
