The OcUK FIFA08 league (360): Season 2 sign up

Ah, so it is :D

What do I use to update it, same link as last time? I've still got it and it makes sense to me when I click on it :)

Yup same link as before mate. It also saves the results in another table so we can get them back to check whats been entered etc. So the data is there I just havent written that page yet :p

Sly Hencore changed it!!:p

;)

I personally think it should be two leagues. It gives then the wider range of people to go for it.

E.g the best teams (ajax, psv, etc) are obviously going to be head and shoulders above the rest, teams like Auxerre (ala me) who's stats are awful at least have a chance with similar teams.

Then do it home and away.

I thought all teams that equate to the same stars (3.5 in this case) must have similar statistics on their players and add up to a certain amount to be put in a starred category?

Thus there being no advantage/disadvantages for each player?

I vote for one personally as they'll be a lot more games to play which suits me down to the ground.

I reckon one league is good for the following reasons:

a) it would be great to have 2 or 3 leagues and promotion/relegation, but unless you are certain everyone is going to stay on, it'll never be the reward it should be (players will get promoted simply because people left in the league above as opposed to finishing in the top 3)

b) one league will reward players who play lots of games, i.e. if Hencore plays 50 games he is likely to finish above a reasonable player who only plays 12 ... this ultimately makes it a more level playing field for everyone

c) producing stats on all-time records etc. becomes a hell of a lot easier!

whaddya reckon?!?

All teams are equal, some are better attacking than others, whereas others have a better defensive rating. It all levels out in the end.

Also, you could give me Feyenoord, and Andy some 1 star team and I would place a bet that he probably still beats me. He is just better than me. With 30 players in 1 Division as rightly said, it should eliminate the no-one online to play posts.

I still suggest we have the rule of having to play a certain amount by a set time or points deduction, and the mods to be stricted on enforcing these. For example, 3 point deduction for each game you have outstanding from the weekly quota (valid reasons excluded).

To be honest I know most play for competitivness but I just enjoy playing so I want to play as many matches as possible. If I can play 29 matches over 13 this time around I'll be chuffed. Not bothered where I finish.

We will, it will have to be a lot longer league this time around due to the amount of players I expect. Last league lasted 3 weeks and players had to play 5 games in the first week, 9 in the second and 13 games in the last.

Not sure how this one would pan out..

You'd like to think that. Check out Auxerre's stats compared to the ones posted above! :p

Look at the Left Midfielder stat's too.. overall 53...

I'm not moaning, or whinging, but I do believe a two league system would be better.

but it doesnt work out that way in the league. Just look at the last one. Rump who had one of THE worst teams out of the lot and he still finished second.

EDIT: 3rd :D
