Well tomorow ill be returning my VTX3d 7870 Black Edition which did not impress me much with the high temps and looks like ill be getting the HIS HD 7950 IceQ BOOST 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card

Whats the powersupply recommended to run HIS HD 7950 IceQ BOOST 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card ?
 
For a single card a quality 550w if your going to overclock CPU/GPU, a quality 450w may be able to run it but personally I like some head room :)
 
just purchased his boost 7950 :) now tommorow hurry up plz.
jonny27 i only have a cosair 500watt but im thinkin it should be enuf from what ive read even with a tad overclocking.

if you buy the games at full retail price yes, but who does that? :p
After selling on the games youll probably be looking at £70-80 for a brand new HD7850 2GB.
 
I'm tempted partly due to the claims of low noise. I've read reviews of HIS cards and the coolers are meant to be amongst the quietest around..

Has anyone got an HIS 7850 already and able to assess just how quiet they are?

I have an ASUS 4870 Black Knight edition that was sold on the basis it was 'very quiet' when in my opinion it's anything but. I can hear my PC from another room.

I only have a lowly Core2Duo (dual core 1.6Ghz), so I guess another question might be whether a 7850 will really be of so much benefit above what was a pretty good card four years ago? Maybe I should get a quad core second hand and plug that in instead..

Those games are tempting though, I've only got Sleeping Dogs so that's a great number of very good titles for my collection!! Decisions, decisions..
 
These are some absolutely amazing offers to be honest. If I had spare cash, this would have pushed me to purchase, even though I have a couple of the games. Especially the offer with the mouse above.

Still wondering where the MSI Twin Frozr 7850's have gone though. I have one and it is brilliant for the money, so want to cross fire in the future, but no where has them :(
