The OcUK Men of Honour 2020 and 2021

So 2 people being made "Men of Honour" were for sports related posts in pretty niche sections of a computer forum, 2 were former mods, the testicular cancer thread guy and the other guy probably at least seem deserving. Maybe give people recognition for doing things related to Overclocking and Computers?

Yeah but most people aren't looking at an F1 thread or football stadium (i like football personally), those sections have a couple of thousand threads and are dwarfed by other sections. I suspect the people deciding are probably fans of F1 and cars in general, didn't we have previous years where the recipient was someone from the car section as well? Maybe have some nominations
Chap who almost exclusively posts in right-wing/anti-woke/arguing threads complaining about recognition for people who make constructive posts elsewhere to his interests 
In fact I don't think he contributes to anything other than debate threads - zero assistance in any of the subs.
Maybe Man of the Year for most posts with least contribution?

There’s no requirement to be nominated just because you frequent a niche area of the forum. In fact, I think it’s a good thing that these posters are recognised… else we end up with nominations from GD.

We don't do nominations, it's always been decided by the mod team.

Mods frequent all areas of the forum, so I'm not sure that point is valid.

I can see the point about mods deciding it all the time. I think some deserving people are being overlooked because the mods dont really notice them enough.
Maybe have just 1 or 2 a year that are decided by a public vote.
