Loving my 15" M4 MBA. Had it a week or so now.

However, I'm bit alarmed by the battery. Not sure if I am doing something oddly wrong with my usage patterns. Just doing browsing in safari this evening and it has gone down from 48% to 32% in an hr. I was expecting to see almost no drop in that time.

Might be due to brightness setting but I mostly just have it automatically adjust.

Does the battery adapt based on usage like it does on the iPhone/iPad? I am wondering if a few more charging cycles will make a difference to optimisation.

I always have my M1 MBA in battery saver mode. It makes a difference and I can't tell a difference when it comes to performance.

Just surprised as it's meant to be an approx 18 hr battery but not seeing that in my experience so far

Yes, sorry. Low power mode. It depends greatly on what you are doing.

Next thing, I reactivated my Tidal subscription, tried to log in using their Mac OS app, and my account got immediately blocked. I can't get into it at all, on any platform.

I highly recommend Apple Music instead of Tidal. It supports HiRes Lossless just like Tidal but is significantly better in terms of finding new music in my opinion. Plus the app is nice and works on Apple, Android and Windows (and the web player works on Linux).

It started off as a Keychron Q1, but it's been modded with Nuphy Lemon Switches and some keycaps from Novelkeys.

I love my Keychron keyboard. So nice to type on.

For some weird reason my TouchID isn't working on my M1 MBA. Annoying but not the end of the world as passwords still work.
