***The Official 8HR Stability 5820k/5930k/5960X Overclocking Thread***

Been having a play with my 5820k, seems pretty solid at [email protected] and [email protected].

Is there a general consensus for what is a safe voltage for these chips? I.e no degradation over time at all. I typically upgrade once every 5 years or longer to get my moneys worth. :D

How good are these at teaming an overclock (say 4.2ghz at 1.2v) with the eco mode stuff? I don't fancy having it pull over 200w from the socket all the time. xD

You can go to 1.3v as long as your cooling is good.

4Ghz Cache/Core stable at low voltage.

4.5GHz on 1.265v
Those numbers may change, that was just a quick OC I did yesterday so I have a baseline to work from :P

Surprised not more x99 owners posted in here....perhaps their overclocks are not stable ?

I'll add mine here, wanted to find a stable starting point before any attempts to push it further.

5820k+Cache @ 4300Mhz, CPU @ 1.16v - Cache @ 1.3v

ASrock Extreme4 3.1, Crucial greens @ 2600 (not 2666 as stated in the pic)
