*** The Official Battlefield 5 thread***

So has anybody tried the new underground map today?

I've just had an hour on it, and.......it's garbage, nothing like metro, and far smaller than metro too. Also getting a lot of stuttering in patches.

Depending which faction team you spawn in, you either are guaranteed a win, or a loss. seemed very difficult to progress with lots of hard camping.

Really hope the next battlefield is more like bf3.

Anybody else have any views?

only played it very briefly but it seemed very similar to metro to me but with more flanking routes so essentially the exact opposite to what you said :p

This game is deeply flawed. And not as good as previous games.

I don't enjoy it any more. I think I enjoyed BF1 more than BFV.

Not surprising, it was essentially released unfinished as a glorified early access title. Theyre still tacking on stuff that should have been in it at launch.

Since BF4 it has been like this. Age of internet patches. BF3 was superb in comparison. It's only weakness being you had a split playerbase due to premium.

Internet connectivity has for sure let publishers get away with much more, plus being able to shoehorn in microtransactions up the wazoo. The "ship it now finish it later" mentality has never been more prevalent, pathetic with what companies like EA are allowed to get away with.

Micro transactions are good though because it keeps a game going. As long as they are not pay to win. You are not forced to buy them but it allows developers to carry on supporting a game.

WTF is this?

Every couple of months I check in to see whether this game is worth buying and everytime I read stuff like this. Looks like junk.

I'll be back sometime before Xmas...

So I caved in and bought it, at 20 Euros.

It's not bad at all actually. Graphics are excellent, performance is better than Bf1, maps seem interesting and the gun play feels nice. The lack of HC is disappointing, but at 20 Euros it's worth it.

I'm suprised they're still pouring anymore time in to this game.

Same here, suppose they still need to pad it out until the next half finished game appears late next year. I suppose most of the assets are probably already in the game to bring this theatre to life so it's probably not much of an investment for them to have this game limp along til next year.
