My copy is being sent out today, just had to ring up and change the credit card because my Mint card wasn't working.

Tried playing Bioshock on my PC but it will need a big upgrade £400+ to play it so I am getting it on my 360 and cant wait to play it on the bed with the lights off.

Meh don't talk ****, a X1950 Pro (£70) can max the game out at a higher res than the 360 plays it at.

Anyway, mine was dispatched earlier.

The benefits outweigh the negatives, aside from the twice only install thing. :p

That's the problem with these official threads before the game is being played by anyone (legally), they go off topic and you then have to wade through the pointless crap to read the relevant stuff. I realise the irony in this so shall stop now.

Back on topic....

I went into a certain high street shop this lunchtime and all the Bioshock cases they had out (for 360) were metal tins, which the assistant said they had "shed loads" of. I realise this isn't the collectors or limited edition but I didn't realise it was coming out in a metal tin. It's very nice.

Pre-Ordered mine last night, getting shipped today so should be with me Friday morning. I have a day off then too. :D

Getting the Collectors Edition for the little Big Daddy. :o :D

It that better than an 8600GT (also £70)?

As i said in the other Bioshock thread, i got an email confirmation last night saying that my copy of Bioshock had been despatched...until i ring home ie in Toronto at the mo...i wont know if its actually arrived.

But saying that, thankfully i have my bros 360 sitting here so im about to pop out to pick him up a copy...btw i paid £40 for my copy and here in Canada ive seen it for £25 thats for the limited edition copy...sadly its not region free as i checked with the store last night or else i would have picked up a copy for myself and brought it back.

Good thing i remembered to bring my mem card with my profile on it so i can increase my gamerscore somewhat:p.

Don't you also need a motherboard, ram, psu, processor, case, monitor, mouse, keyboard, etc ....
Yeah but he said upgrade, so he already has most of that and considering X1950 Pro is AGP and PCI-E upgrading isn't gonna cost that much.

Just don't see why it had to be brought up at an exaggerated price. :)

Could it be coming to the PS3?

A member of the GameTrailers forum has found the best evidence so far that the critically acclaimed Bioshock will be coming to the PS3. While poking around in some of the config files for the demo, an interesting entry was stumbled upon:

Code:
 [Console]
;; Console (XBox360, [b]PS3[/b]) specific settings

;; StreamingDynamicFloatingLimit:
;; If this is a positive number, then instead of using the fixed per-level
;; limits, the StreamingDynamic resource will use as much memory as is
;; available as long as the total memory allocated by the game is less than
;; the specified number. In other words, StreamingDynamic will grow and
;; shrink to fit to the available memory instead of being locked to a fixed
;; budget
StreamingDynamicFloatingLimit=500

The file is locate at C:\Program Files\2K Games\BioShock Demo\Content and is called ConfigINI.IBF for anybody who wants to verify this on their own computers (we've verified it on ours). It will be interesting to see when 2k Games comes out and finally admits that Bioshock is coming to the PlayStation 3. Hopefully it will turn out to be a Q1 2008 release so we don't have to wait that long.
Source.

Wouldn't surprise me tbh.

Did anyone get theirs that got posted yesterday? :(

Nope :(

I'm really beginning to despise royal mail, the van only comes once a week if we're lucky, not to mention what hasn't come

Just because they say its been posted doesn't mean it has, just means its at the back door ready for the postman the next day, Thursdays is the day you will get your pre-orders Friday the latest.
