**The Official BioShock Thread**

Just because they say its been posted doesn't mean it has, just means its at the back door ready for the postman the next day, Thursdays is the day you will get your pre-orders Friday the latest.

Well every other time i have had the despatch on the Wednesday, not tuesday, and get it on the Thursday.

Woo :D My order was dispatched today! Would fully recommend TheHut for games and you can get discount vouchers off the net, too.

Slow delivery though, 2-3 days rather than next day. We shall see :p

(TheHut doesn't sell anything OcUK does, so I'm sure its' a non-competitor)

Dispatched yesterday, hopefully get it tomorrow! Received my repaired 360 today as well, just in time for bioshock!

Sadly still not had confirmation of mine being sent from the store that guarentees delivery the next day if you order before 5. Normally they get their pre-order stock early, doesnt seem to have happened this time.

Never mind a store has BOGOF on wii games tomorrow I will buy resident evil to tide me over :D

That's the problem with these official threads before the game is being played by anyone (legally), they go off topic and you then have to wade through the pointless crap to read the relevant stuff. I realise the irony in this so shall stop now.

Back on topic....

I went into a certain high street shop this lunchtime and all the Bioshock cases they had out (for 360) were metal tins, which the assistant said they had "shed loads" of. I realise this isn't the collectors or limited edition but I didn't realise it was coming out in a metal tin. It's very nice.

Would you say this metal tin was postable through a standard UK door letterbox?

Hmmmmm Bioshock!

Metal tin one was exactly the same price as the plastic case! Bargain!

Too addicted to skate to play em!

Im about 4 hours in, absolutely loving it so far, decided to go down the path of saving the little sisters rather than harvesting, received one 'gift' for doing so so far. Best game played so far this year

I love hoq scared they get when the Big Mummies are dead, though saving them is a bit weird and erotic lol

Very good game but when the hype wears off (I never followed the hype) I'm sure most will see it's not GOTY material.

I got a bit bored after i completed the bit that was in the demo. I turned it off 5 minutes after.

Gonna give it another go after i have eat something.

People said the exact same thing about GoW.
Difference is it was the graphics in Gears that carried it a long way. It was only when people had played the full game and realised it's the same thing from the first to the last minute that they scaled back their judgement of the game.

From the start it's the overall experience you get with Bioshock that is being praised.

Not saying Bioshock is game of the year, but it's a far more genuine contender than Gears ever was, and that's taking into account the fact that Bioshock has far better competition than Gears had.

Im about 6 or so hours in now, in a forested/garden area, its fantastic but i agree with kreee, probably not GOTY in my oppinion. Really 'fun' game though, ive found telekinesis and dummy to be the most useful plasmids ive used so far.

Agreed, but I still think it's overrated.

Remember I'm saying it's still a brilliant game but just not a 95 percenter like OoT was when it was launched.
