easy fight for AJ - Paul did nothing but run around the ring and try and tackle AJ to the ground.

Any "proper" fight and referee would have taken points off.

Delighted with the finish - Lovely stuff to batter Paul in the end.

Easy pay day for both - some US exposure for the Fury / AJ fight (which is probably 5-8 years too late in being made) - Comfy nights work for AJ.

didn't expect anything else.

I’d actually like to see how far Jake could go and how high his actual ceiling is if he took it seriously. Looking at the British cruiserweight division, Tommy Fury, who he had a close fight with, who has only fought twice in the last 2 years is #10.

I'd say it's fair to say Jake has grown as a fighter since then so I wonder how far up he could fight up those rankings. I don't doubt he could win a regional English title but could he go on and win the English title? British title would be a step too far but I wouldn't be shocked if he could reach the top 20-15.

Issue is, he makes far too much money doing these events that he does now to ever want to fight in the Copper box or some leisure centre to fight some no named opponent who could beat him.

Saw that it went 6 rounds when I woke up and immediately thought oh god he's made a meal of it, but it wasn't really a fight, just one guy running to survive until he couldn't anymore. The moment AJ decided it had gone long enough (or they passed their agreed number of rounds ;)) and started to turn the screw it was over.

Broke his jaw for good measure too with that final punch. I do have to give him some respect though, the sight of a locked in AJ closing you down for the finish, now putting a little more into his shots, knowing he wasn't even trying that hard before and that you can do literally nothing against him must be pretty terrifying. His reaction to the final punch was one of 'what an earth was that', nobody has ever hit him that hard and it should be a wake up call for him trying to call out these top guys who are still active.

I'm kind of on the same page as above, if he really applied himself, fought legitimate fighters around his level he could probably do alright, he can afford to bring in good trainers and fighters to learn from. I don't think he will though, the circus fights are where the real money is.

I think if he weren't doing it so much for social media and chasing the money and actually did it for the passion of it I'd respect him more. He probably could be better.
I think theres an element of it being for social media but where JP was 5 years ago to now shows passion. Still at least he gets in the ring unlike some heavyweights atm.

Not really, he's excellent at marketing so he brought the eyes to it. For all his faults he's clearly excellent at what he does or has done on social media.

Even in the boxing world, he clearly saw a gap in women's boxing etc. He's not stupid.

Exactly this, he knows what to say/do to rile a crowd up, even just the way he acts. But it's obviously a recipe for making tens of millions.

Not sure what I wanted to see?
AJ going in and Bang job done round 1
Or make JP suffer and blow the cobwebs off.

You could see JP landed with a few good shots, But I dont think AJ felt them, Like being hit in the face by a fly whilst running down the road.

I will hold my hands up. I wasn't expecting Joshua to knock him out. Assumed they had an agreement beforehand that it wouldn't a proper fight. Good to see him put Paul on the mat.
