Maybe 2-3 ahead for ward was too much but I thought he edged it, wouldn't complain if it went either way was very close.

Aside from a few jabs and that second round kov didn't land much, plus ward did some great body work.

Pretty much agree with this, I thought Ward did an excellent job inside also.

Was very close though.

The fight needs a rematch but not in the US or at least have judges who aren't all American.

Very close but Kovalev must have known he was up against it.

Can't complain about Ward as he gave his best but its a fight that has to have the re-match sooner than later (there is a clause which I believe has been taken).

Still a cracking fight.

Ortiz vs Allen on the Joshua v Molina undercard.

Very quick turnaround for Ortiz and just what he and Hearn needed to put the disastrous last bout behind them.

Allen looked poor against Whyte a few months ago but he stood and took everything he could throw at him so it'll be a far better fight for Ortiz to showcase his power.

Really has to KO him to prove he's not a hype job imo.

Another fight that I'm dubious will actually happen tbh. If it does though, Bellew will never have a better nights sleep.

Why? There's not many fights that make as much sense as this. Bellew gets the biggest pay day of his career, far more than he could possibly get fighting anyone else and he gets to keep his title too. Haye gets a big pay day from what, on paper anyway, should be a fairly straight forward fight and he gets himself back on the big stage.

Should be but at 15 stone anything can happen. Bellew has a lot of scrap in him and we don't know how much Haye has in him. He didn't fancy getting in with Briggs and I think he would have a few years back.

Anyone watch Katie Taylor's pro debut?

She looked handy, as you would expect against a limited opponent. Will be interesting to see how big she gets in terms of profile. Could be what really fires women's pro boxing this side of the atlantic (and perhaps re-sparks it in USA too).

Just watching the Haye Vs Bellew conference, interesting ending.

Haye has gone up in my estimations after throwing Hearn under the bus. :)

Also Haye on SSN after 'Bellew you're a (insert word for the end of the penis) and you're getting knocked out' :p
