I dont know if when i think back to the boxers from the 80s / 90s or earlier if im remembering with rose tinted glasses but they were on a whole different planet to these guys. Ive seen Ali box better in the 15th round than these guys did in the the first 3. Cant help but think guys like holyfield, tyson, lewis, bowe, forman would literally toy with these guys.

A fantastic fight, dont want to take anything away from it.

to be fair it looked like a punch in real time, and from two different angles. Only from the third angle you see it was a headbutt (accidental). Even so score cards were too close regardless in my book, white dominated from start to finish and deserved the win headbutt or no headbutt.

Only saw the first couple of rounds. Was the Parker knockdown from the headbutt really the difference in the outcome?
Yep.

113-111 - Would've been 112-113 Parker
115-110 - Would've been 114-112 Whyte
114-111 - Would've been 113-113 Draw

the fight was 3 years ago
And AJ was dumb for falling for the mind games at the time.

He fights behind the jab like he did against Parker and he wears down Whyte and finishes him the same way when he tires.

Hard to say. That round was classed as 10-8 so you could say yes in terms of points. Then putting aside the physical effect of the knockdown there's the psychological side of it as it was his first knockdown of his career.

If parker was more aggressive a round or two earlier could have been a different outcome. Great fight overall and would like to see a rematch.

That old chestnut. So what if it was 3 years ago? You're telling me AJ hasn't improved since then too? Whytes bullyboy tactics wouldn't work on AJ; AJ would be the bigger and stronger man.

I'd love to see Whyte or Del Boy against Wilder
I think Whyte and AJ would both beat Wilder tbh. The way Whyte just keeps coming forward throwing bombs relentlessly i honestly think he would drop Wilder. Wilder is getting annoying now he’s just dodging all the bigger names and acting like he is the best heavyweight ever when the only decent fighter he has come up against is Ortiz who was really unlucky

Tony bellew was guest host on talksport this morning wasso funny when frank warren was saying he saw the aj wilder contract for 50 million and then bellew was like “you saw no such thing lol”

So much tension between them
