Yeah I know, all I've said is that is was going to be close. Not everyone scores fights like an armchair fan. There's a bit more to it. I think Catterall's clinching and general rough housing/spoiling counted against him despite doing the cleaner punching at times. I've seen enough fights to know that the judges are looking for different things at the pro level not just punches landed. Despite me scoring the fight for Catterall, I've been called blind and an idiot by our resident experts.

I agree re the punches landed stat. I mean they could all be in one round in theory but when you are taking DOUBLE the amount AND a knock down then im sorry but theres only one winner.

I suppose you have evidence of that. I mean really? The arrogance of some people

Jeeez you tool I scored it for Catterall. Can't you read?

The fact you think it was close and think you have some sort of higher level knowledge of boxing than the rest of us suggests I’m not the tool. Armchair hard man.

I guess the pros they’ve been interviewing dont know what they’re watching either. All hail Calpol.

Blatant corruption on display. It's not even a fine line, just utterly bent. I'm seeing it more and more now, not just in boxing. Pretty soon we won't have these sports anymore because of greedy corrupt *****.

Don't forget that the judges aren't watching the fight from above the action like we are. They don't have the same vantage point and a lot of the holding can obstruct your view as to what's clean. It was a messy fight from round one hence why I thought it would end up being a close call. Taylor was lucky for sure but don't be calling the judges "bent" just because you disagree with their expertise.

Can't believe you're defending one of the historically most corrupt sports of all time lmao

Directly after one of the biggest robberies of all time

Quote from Steve Bunce who knows more about boxing than anyone on here

"I just want to add, and I'll sound like a broken record, I know. There are no corrupt, crooked, or broken judges. It's just guys ringside who get things very different to the rest of us. No one's getting brown envelopes."

If you think people are not getting paid off in boxing then you really are stupid..

Haven’t you heard? It’s just that they’re the experts and no one else really knows what they’re watching.
Well the judges in tonight's fight are quite experienced
Victor Loughlin 113-112 - A judge/ref for 20 years and 382 bouts
Ian John Lewis 114-111 - 24 years and 442 bouts
Howard Foster 112-113 - 22 years and 558 bouts

They are the most reputable and experienced judges in the UK and therefore I think they can be considered "expert" relative to us fans and keyboard warriors. Anyway enough of this, fun ans it has been. Hopefully Catterall will get another shot.

114-111, the most ridiculous score of them all and 24 years in the industry with a history of bad scorecards. Says it all.

Why has he felt the need to say that?

ahhh "multi millionnaire" ian john lewis the infamous judge/referee known for screwing results

Maccarinelli shafted by referee mistake in loss to McKenzie, Butler wins British title - Bad Left Hook

Is there a more consistently awful referee/judge than Ian John Lewis working today? : Boxing (reddit.com)

Ok let’s put an end to this. Some people have clearly had a few to drink. Post your proof of payment to judges or calm it down.

Lol I agree its becoming a bit personal in here but you don’t need proof of payment to suggest it’s a bit well dodgy. Everyone knows boxing has dodgy judges.

No everyone knows boxing is subjective. We all agree Caterall is hard done by but Taylor was the strong favourite before and was hardly battered. He won he’s a worthy champion and he’ll likely move up to face Crawford.

But he was... he was comfortably beaten lmao. I don’t care who was favourite before, Taylor lost that fight.

It would be easier to defending boxing judges had boxing not recently been expelled from the Olympics for a catalogue of fixed fights at the 2016 Olympics.

Edit: Don't think I've ever seen so many boxers come out on Twitter and all agree the result was fixed.
