Money talks and easy way to get back on top
Money is the reason why I don't think the fight happens, not now anyway. This fight in December, in Cardiff, pays the least this fight could possibly pay. If it was held in Wembley in the summer it would pay far more and if it was held in some Arab country, it would pay considerably more. This fight isn't going anywhere. Why take it now for less money than you could get later and in both fighters cases, risk future earnings from other fights. If AJ loses his stock falls even further and any future fights pay x amount less and if Fury loses, he loses the Usyk fight in Saudi which would pay him more than he's ever earned before.

I hope I'm wrong and maybe I'm being a cynic but what I believe happens is some **** excuse is made by Fury and or AJ for why the fight couldn't happen, they both fight some bums and they'll eventually fight after the Fury/Usyk fight(s) happen.

I mean money talks 60/40 and easy way to get back on top for AJ (if he wins) i know is short notice but that did not stop others fighters like Ruiz to fights AJ for example. I would like to see best fights possible in the right time not palce for better money and waiting ages to be done if that make sance.

Nope, youre not being cynical, your being realistic

This fight doesn’t happen

Comon m8 little faith:D

Fury doesn't deserve faith... He has a history of conning the public and saying he'll do X then ends up doing Y. How he manages to never get held accountable is rather impressive.

I'm not so convinced those in Saudi are willing to pay big for Fury vs Usyk. Even if it is for the undisputed, Fury isn't much of a draw by himself and he knows Usyk is going to be a very hard nights work for very little commercial gain. He knows his best chance of a payday is against Joshua and there is no better time to try and fight Joshua now whilst his confidence is at rock bottom and he is coming off back-to-back losses. Even with his losses AJ is still the money man in the division and Fury knows this is a good chance at his biggest payday.

For the sport. I'd rather this fight didn't happen and Usyk vs Fury goes ahead for undisputed. For myself I'd love to see AJ spark Fury out (a position I've always held) but ultimately that puts a bit of a dampener on the division as it just means it's Usyk vs Joshua 3 for undisputed and Usyk may as well just call himself undisputed as he has Joshua's number.

For the soprt i would like to all top fighter face each other no matter wich fight has to be first for example AJ should fight Wilder and latter Fury but thats not going to take place so lets hope this fight will go on and hope for good fight.

What we want and what happens are rarely the same thing though. 60/40 from a pot of £60m odd today or 60/40 from a pot of £100m+ in 18 months? I know what I'm taking if I'm in their shoes.

Anyway, time will tell but I'm not confident.

I agree. I wish every few years every division was forced to have a 'Super-Series' like what the Saurlands tried to do. Make it so that the top 16 fighters go into a tournament and at the end you have a good idea of who #1 in the division is.

It's really annoying we have top fighters not facing one another or when you have fans saying things like "what's the point in that fight, X beats them easily". I want to see them all compete against one another because as we all know triangle theory does not work in boxing.

Imagine a world where in the premier league Man City could just be like "na, we aren't going to play Nottingham Forest - what's the point, we'd easily win?" and still be declared the best team of the season. It's a farce.

Now we talking but the worst thing is remach in contract this stopping everything.

To be fair, it's a voluntary defence so the rematch clause isn't that surprising. What is surprising to me is how he is able to pick AJ as a voluntary when AJ isn't ranked by the WBC. As said, Money talks and the WBC (We Be Crooks) are hardly known for their outstanding integrity.

What i ment is remach in contract stops good fight to take place. For me remach clause should be not in contracts this will give more determination for a champion not to loose a fight for example Fufy win in 2nd fight against Wilder and should fight AJ but Wilder had is remach clause and this stoped fight to take place.

Haha they never stop to amaze me. So now suddenly they realise there is money in a Fury vs Joshua bout, they rank him at #6. He hasn't even needed to pay sanctioning fees but they still put him on there, never change WBC.

Whilst we are at it. How on earth is Wilder ranked #1 with them whilst coming off back-to-back losses and having not fought since his last loss... how is he #1? Then again Wilder is the very same Champion that the WBC felt fit to allow to duck mandatories and give Stirvirne as a mandatory when he hadn't fought in a number of years. At this point I'm convinced Al Haymon has dirt on Sulaiman.

Is the Joyce vs Parker fight going to be called off as well? Or will the mourning period be over by the 24th?

Until I see AJ and Fury in the ring this fight ain’t happening. We’re just in the back and forth phase where neither one wants to be the one to drop out of it. Eventually some silly reason will be found to cancel it.

Joshua off the back of 2 defeats (and a bit of a mental breakdown after the 2nd!) doesn’t want to be getting in the ring with Fury like 4 months later he needs a confidence booster.

Fury on the cusp of a fight for all the belts isn’t taking a high risk fight like this to ruin it.

I tend to agree but hope you are wrong :)

Oh. S*********

Crawford vs Spence has been agreed (not signed) for November 19th. This could well end up being the best fight of the year. If this happens and then Fury vs Joshua goes ahead, this has been a brilliant end to the year
