That’s harsh.
Not at all. People saw she was knocking out no hopers and assumed she'd do the same once she faced someone with a pulse.
I said this way back when it was announced originally. Her opponents record was something like 17-120 combined. Utterly padded.

Would like to watch a rematch with 3 minute rounds.
She faced some of the same opponents. It’s not like there is a massive wealth of talent in womens boxing yet alone in the division. The best fighter won but your being harsh.

There can't have been more than 3 minutes boxing in the last 3 rounds with the amount of holding Shields was doing.
Given how much Shields slowed down after round 4, 10 x 3 minute rounds would probably suit Marshall more.
Some of the same competition but if you add up all of Shields opponents they at least had a combined winning record. She's shown class in 2 divisions.
Am I being over harsh? Maybe. But it just shows just cause someone is knocking out bums it doesn't mean they can do the same when they come up against someone with skills

Judges had it quite close. Home viewers had it closer. Best fighter won but only just. Credit to both of them.
Great fight, great showing for womens boxing.
Went as expected I think, would love to see it again though given how much they both brought it.
I think they really do need to look at 3 minute rounds, at least for big title fights like that, feels like the rounds fly by before they even get going.

On Marshall, it looks like Peter Fury's trying to replicate Tyson with the way he's got her fighting but she doesn't have anywhere near the speed or skill to carry it off.
She needs to hiding behind the jab and looking to slowly open up her opponents.

Sky do it with their fighters. Usyk somehow only got a SD in a clear UD against Joshua and Taylor got an absolute gift decision against Catterall both this year.
Sky aren't the only ones doing that. All of them do. It's like how Hatton gets gift decisions on Matchroom cards.
Why pretend it doesn't happen. We all joke about Canelo being 4 rounds up before he's even got to vegas. It's not like our judges are any less corrupt
It’s subjective though isn’t it? Fury quite easily won against Wilder. These things happen. Shields won and she deserved too. But it wasn’t a mismatch like the undercard was. Your being harsh on Marshall. Sorry but that’s how I see it.
