Joshua is actually really grounded, even after all this, he bought a flat above his parents as he doesn't need anything more. That says a lot to me, he's here for the long run.

Martin didn't fancy that from the first second of the fight! Was just a cashout fight from a guy who won a world title by luck.

Job done for AJ World Champion :)

Can't blame him to be fair. He could have taken a far easier fight which would have paid him 1/10 of what he's got tonight and still lost. He's got ever penny he could from the world title.

You could see in his face he was hoping the ref would stop the fight after the 2nd knockdown.
And we've learnt nothing apart from AJ is now in the headlights of the fighters who can beat him.

It's going to be interesting to see how things play out. Will they try put him in against nobodies and hasbeens, and milk the AJ hype and the title for as long as they can or will they look to make the mega fights vs Haye and or Fury.

I don't think there's any inbetween - there isn't a big enough reward to put him in vs somebody like Wilder. They're not going to risk a loss without a massive pay day now.

Fury is just lucky there hasn't been anyone infront of him with even a smidgen of talent.

I'm certainly no fan of Fury but there's a time and a place, and he got into both.

The world heavyweight titles could be very 'fluid' for the next few years. Better that than just sitting with an untouchable incumbent for 5 year or more periods.

AJ would KO Fury easily. Fury hasn't the tools to hurt AJ. Fury has bottle, he'll come to fight and he's a good boxer for someone of his size but AJ would realise very early that Fury can't hurt him which means he can box freely. He'll land one eventually and lay Fury out. Haye would be more dangerous for AJ cos he can also bang.

I'm hoping it won't matter after the Povetkin fight.

I'll be surprised if AJ will fight Haye - it's dangerous for him and he gains nothing from it. It'd be a great fight, but I suspect it won't happen. Haye should get his own belt then they could have a British unification fight.

I was just using him as an example. I don't think we'll see Joshua in any difficult fight in the near future unless that fight is Haye or Fury. Hearn won't risk him losing unless there's a massive reward on offer and that only comes if he fights 1 of those 2.
