Well there will always be worse but how many in the last flurry after Parker punched back actually landed?

Was early imo

Tbh, his arms were down - he was on the ropes and he was taking shots, he also had quite a nasty cut on the inside of his eye, so on reflection the ref probably took that into consideration as well.

if he would have done a couple of flurrys of punches it wouldnt of been stopped. watch any fight no fight back and you getting smashed its always called. joe threw like 2 punches. while fabio did like 30 or more.

I think it was probably a little early and looked worse for Parker in real time than it did with the replays (a few punches were actually missing or glancing), but he can't complain too much, he barely made it out of the last round and then took a barrage around the ring for 20-30 seconds with little coming back so you don't really give the ref many options. He could have just taken a knee and grabbed a breather but this was one of those not wanting to take a step back/give in to the other guy kind of fights.

A potential Wardley vs Usyk fight sounds bizarre to say considering where Wardley was not so long ago.

Yeah I know lol, I was thinking the same - although I always rated Wardley a lot higher than others, his ability to just take shots, and stand and throw back where most people would be on the floor, he's a serious warrior and I think he causes almost everyone problems.

Can he beat Usyk? he's younger - has real power, but Usyk - I can't see it myself, but by the sounds of it, we'll get to find out in the not too distant future.

wardley vs itauma

Can't see it, Wardley has earnt his shot against Usyk.

Frank will make that fight now, as there's so much money in it - they're also both (Wardley and Itauma) under Frank, so I'm not sure it could happen without messing everything else up.

Usyk has got one of the best chins in all of boxing, and also probably the best gas-tank of any modern heavyweight.

It's a nightmare difficulty fight for Wardley, especially the way Usyk has the ability to make changes, keep turning the dial up, and also the aggression - Usyk is one of the most aggressive heavyweights.

I mean, Wardley has earnt the right to fight him - but I can't see him winning it, however it's a fight he deserves.

very good hes got a granite chin
usyk has confirmed he wont fight itauma if you didnt know. usyk would destroy wardly. yet usyk wont fight itauma. you will probably get the usyk vs wardley now as its more or less a win for usyk unless the money is bad.

Why on earth would Usyk fight Itauma? He's not an interim champion and he offers Usyk nothing other than a punchbag to train with. Itauma needs to earn a shot, Wardley just has.
because lots want the fight and tbh he has the best chance of beating usyk. all the best old guard got rinsed by usyk. moses is the future of the heavyweights. also turki said he wanted to make the fight and generally if he wants it it happens. usyk is waiting for the big money offers now in his last few fights.so whoever generates the most cash for him is who he will fight not who is mandatory.

People have been saying that exact same thing for years about Wardley, until he hits someone and they wobble all over the place

tbh, I'm a big Wardley fan, I was quite vocal about him beating Parker by a stoppage, and I would like to see him fight Usyk.

Usyk's workrate is 2x that of Parker, his speed, movement, non-punching activity is just miles more than anyone else, it's like Bellew said - he'd never felt as exhausted in his life fighting anyone, as much as the fight he had with Usyk.

It's a fight I want to see, but I struggle to see Wardley stepping up to that level, because Usyk is literally an all-time great.

Best chance based on what? Other than a washed and overweight Dyllian Whyte, I don't see any names on his record that suggests he's some sort of world beater yet. He certainly doesn't have a name that'll get any money flowing at the box office and I honestly don't think many boxing fans outside of the UK could even name the guy.

He might turn out to be a good fighter but he's a nobody on the world scene currently.
