Anyone watch the Porter Thurman fight that took place a few weeks back? I've only just got around to watching it but it was a pretty good fight. Not keen on Porter's style but you have to give him credit, he does know how to get in people's faces.
eubank jr wanted the fight
his dad ruined it

His son now won't face a premature death, so I guess the measure of success depends upon perspective![]()
He's fought 3 or 4 top 10 fighters in his last 5 fights and all are of a better calibre than Eubank has ever faced. Eubank's fight record in comparison reads like a who's who of human punchbags bar BJS who beat him.only person of note GGG has faced is murray who took golovkin 11 rounds and eubank is easily a better fighter than murray
Good boxing on SS3 now. Wilder V Arreola a bit later. It's on the east coast so it's not a 5 o'clocker.
why does everyone think GGG would have walked all over him

hope he gets to fight the winner (Which will be GGG)
I thought Dillian Whyte looked like an amateur in his last fight and he looks worse tonight.
Beginning to think his tactics of getting under AJs skin so he would come forward and leave himself open was the only way he was ever going to win that fight.
Edit: Doughnut snatcher wins an easy decision.
Listening to an interview with Hearn on why the Eubank-GGG fight didn't happen. Can't link it because of some colourful languange but if you search for IFLTV on youtube it's there.
He basically says Eubank was offered the same financial terms as what Joshua and all his other PPV fighters gets - Hearn runs the event and takes his commission with all the profit going to the fighter. Hearn claims that Eubank Snr wanted complete control of everything and wanted to charge double the ticket prices of the last Joshua fight. If true it only makes me believe even more that Eubank never wanted the fight and knew what they were asking for was never going to be accepted.
Hearn also as good as admits that Brook took the fight because he couldn't make any other big fights for him.
He may have been doing something I wasn't aware of but to me it looked like his only tactic was to club him to death. He wasn't looking for combinations to open up his opponent and he had his hands down very low for most of the fight. Think he thought he would blow him away with his power but didn't come close to doing so.I was impressed with the fight. I thought Whyte put in an almost perfect performance.
