Bellew is such an unlikeable boxer, he makes Amir Khan look intelligent. As Pigeon said he's chinny, slow and predictable exactly what Haye likes in an opponent!

Predictable is probably the last thing I'd call Bellew. He had Flores in deep water and was still happy to wade in after him.

Bellew seems to have a decent enough chin or a lot of confidence in it. That American must have been the best part of 16 stone and he was throwing everything he had, but Bellew was happy to keep trading with the big *******

When I say predictable I was referring to his movement or lack of it:p He just wades in and leaves in his chin for all to see.

I'm no fan of Haye by any stretch, but he would light Bellew up in devastating fashion.

This really. Hayes comeback opponents are bloody awful, but then who is going to risk fighting him? He relies on creating hype to provide enough purse to get a few unfortunates to step in the ring in the hope of then getting a title shot himself.

Bellows is no where near Haye. He would be humiliated and I don't even see Haye as been in his prime anymore.

Haven't seen this fight yet but watched Bellows vs Makabu and unless he has substantially improved he doesn't stand a chance. Makabu barely threw a punch and when he landed a straight left he made Bellows do a backwards roly-poly :D

Excatly. Haye mentioned in an interview yesterday that the reason why the Briggs fight hasn't happened is because Briggs will only take the fight if it's on PPV. Briggs knows he's got 1 shot at a big money fight and there's no way he's going to get knocked out by Haye for £200k on Dave.

There's no question that Haye's fought bums but there's not a great deal he could do. He's not got Sky or Boxnation behind him to pay for the big fights so he's had to scrape the barrell with the money Dave are putting up.

This is why the Bellew fight makes perfect sense all around. It gives Bellew the biggest pay day of his career by a country mile (and he admits he's in boxing for 1 reason and that's to provide for his family) and it catapults Haye back onto the big stage again in a fight that he'll fancy himself to win easily.

The fight does nothing for Haye. As I said last night, Bellew doesn't hold any belts he wants, he isn't well known and beating him would do nothing to enhance his reputation in the heavy weight division.

Plenty of positives for Bellew though. Go 2 or 3 rounds and earn a few hundred thousand, maybe more.

Of course it does. Bellew v Haye would be PPV and Hearn would sell the life out of it. Not only does Haye make a few £m (and it will be £m's not hundreds of thousands) but it puts him back on the big stage again. Outside of boxing fans, I doubt anybody knows Haye's fighting again. Being back on Sky will result in 100's of adverts in the weeks leading up to the fight, there will be all the press and Sky hype and suddenly Haye's relevant again.

In isolation the fight is nothing more than an easy earner for Haye but it will lead to better things for him. I doubt he'll be fighting on Dave again after that fight, put it that way.

I though Makabu fought well and landed some nice shots, but you have got to say in the third round Bellew just smashed him to bits.

The big question for me about Haye is how good is he now? and whats he got left in the tank if he finds himself in for the full 12 rounds.

It would be over in 1 :p

Haye should have got a microphone and told him he will fight him but the winner gets 100% of the fight purse. See Bellews face drop....

Joshua beats Klitchko inside 6 rounds. It all depends how well Klitchko does on holding and trying to spoil the fight but he's getting KO'd either way.

Its a hell of a step up for Joshua and barring Klitchko's terrible fight against Fury a return to form should give us a great fight. Really looking forward to this one.

Winner fights Wilder, whose name is weirdly missing in match-ups been discussed.

Doubt it's going to happen (Joshua v Klitschko) this year.

Sounds like the WBA and WBO won't sanction the fight or at least that is what the delay is. I believe the WBA has already tried to schedule a mini tournament for the 'regular' belt and don't see how they could fight for the 'Super' version when neither are the current WBA champ.

Looks like you're right.

They should both just take the fight anyway. Klitschko is past it so don't know why he is hell bent on fighting for a belt again when in reality he will be retiring soon.

Would be typical of boxing if this fight doesn't happen. I love boxing but hate the politics.

I'm hoping Hearn's comments are just so he can give it a big announcement later in the week rather than just confirming what we already knew, after Haye announced it last week.

Wladimir Klitschko determined to fight for the WBA heavyweight title

Wladimir Klitschko's manager Bernd Boente says the former world heavyweight champion's next opponent hinges on which fight can be sanctioned by the WBA.

A bout between Klitschko and IBF champion Anthony Joshua could be on the agenda for December but Boente says it will be delayed until next year if the WBA wants Klitschko to fight a different opponent first.

The WBA and WBO heavyweight titles are currently up for grabs, after Tyson Fury vacated them so he can concentrate on dealing with his mental health issues.

Just seen another interview with Hearn where he says he found out yesterday Klitschko has been negotiating with 2 other fighters with Hearn believing he's looking for an easier fight than Joshua.
