AJ v Klitchko very tricky fight to call as there are plenty of unknown variables:

What state is Klitchko in after the best part of 18 months out of the ring, he hardly looked at his best in his last fight and at 40 odd he's not at the age to be improving!!

AJ apart from a brief spell in the Whyte fight hasn't been tested at all, how will he cope with cracking the code of one of the most wily experienced fighters out there? He's never fought anyone remotely at Wlads level.

I'd say Joshua should probably be too quick for an aging Wlad but don't think anyone can say for certain the outcome.
 
VK fighting for his boxing life against AJ. No way can he not retire if beaten. Only trouble is, Haye made some good points. He'll be 41, he won't have been in the ring for 18 months and he is markedly the smaller man. Also, he didn't look confident enough to throw punches against Fury, a boxer who's not renowned for punch power. Will he be ready to trade with a puncher the power of AJ? OK, he could try to outbox him and win on points (because I don't think he can KO AJ), but with AJ's youth and strength pressing forward, can he really avoid the big shots for 12 rounds?

Thinking the same, don't follow boxing much but AJ seems a cool respectful guy as well.
When you see idiots like Chisora throwing tables around it puts the sport to shame.
Nothing wrong with rivalry but I think this sort stuff makes boxing look like a circus act.

It does nothing for me either and sadly UFC has gone the same way with WWE type nonsense. The biggest shame about Chisora is he makes a complete idiot of himself but is more than capable of putting on a great show (Klitschko/Whyte).
 
What a brilliant fight Chisora vs Whyte turned out to be. I thought Chisora deserved it but I'm hardly surprised Eddie Hearns fighter got the nod. A draw would have been a fair result and a rematch.

At last AJ vs Klitchko is on. AJ to KO Klitchko within 5 rounds, easy work. I said it months ago, and I'll pull this comment up come fight night as well. Klitchko has no bottle, as soon as he feels AJ's jab he's gonna start holding and spoiling, or at least trying too. He'll be too terrified to throw any punches when he feels AJs power.

They're approximately the same height, weight and reach, so throw out the size issue.

The big issues are whether WK is over the hill (he looked it against Fury, was it a one-off? And it's 18 months on from that), and whether AJ can deal with the jab (assuming WK actually throws some punches, as he didn't against TF).

My feeling is that the fight is down to Klitchko - if he's back to near his best, he'll win, if he's as bad as he was against Fury, AJ will win. Would be very surprised to see either getting knocked out
 
WK is surely past it? Even if he does use the jab AJ can just wait for him to tire and blast him out of there. AJ will be too quick and powerful.
 
Fury doesn't get anywhere near enough credit for his win over WK imo. He was one of the first boxers WK fought who was bigger than him and he got beaten exactly the same way WK had beaten fighters himself.

Love him or loathe him (I'm in the loathe him camp) Fury is a very good boxer with good hand speed, a massive reach and a rock solid jab.

You only need to look at the way he broke down a prime Chisora, something VK couldn't do, to know he's a level above most boxers out there.

For my money, stick him and WK in a ring again the outcome's exactly the same.
 
I can't wait to see Bellew get humiliated, him running his mouth is so cringe worthy, I know he has to hype the fight but surely he can't believe he's actually going to win the fight? It will be a surprise if he sees the end of the first round

Had he not ran his mouth he wouldn't be about to make £m's fighting Haye. There's nobody for him to fight in his division that will make him any meaningful money and Haye was only going to take the fight if it made him a lot of money, which only happens because of all the trash talk to build the fight up.

Edit: Haye was the mandatory for the winner of Parker vs Ruiz and had he chosen that route he would've probably walked away with a belt and some bargaining power. As it is, he beats Bellew and he's back where he was.

No chance of me buying that. Eubank against some fighter who has never fought anybody of note, and lost against one of them. Both fighting for what is tbh, a tinpot title. It's not even one of the big 4, WBA, WBC, IBF, WBO. They cant charge more than a fiver for that honestly.

It's the sort of fight that would usually have been on ITV terrestrial, and in my opinion Eubank jr isn't PPV material.

I guess it must be hard to be forced to retire from something that you love. At a professional level boxing seems to take over your life, especially during camp and also the buzz/adrenaline rush of getting in the ring must be impossible to replicate outside of any other environment so I can sort of understand why he might want to get back in the right. However, I do think it's very irresponsible getting in the ring, even to spar, after what he suffered.
