I forgot what happened last year, I mean yes Bellew won but seeing the fight again yesterday on sky sports Haye was in serious problems with his leg / ankle

That said Haye is injury prone and perhaps his body has had enough
 
Same as last time for me. An uninjured Haye batters Bellew, but I really think Haye's body is past it and wouldn't rule out another injury.
 
So where does each fighter go if they win? Bellew retirement? Haye do you really think he’d fancy a crack at AJ or Wilder?

I’d pay serious dollar for the Wilder fight! Wouldn’t last long either way!

I think there was some talk that Bellew could try and go after the winner of the Cruiserweight super series winner, aiming to become he unified champion if he won, but that would be several fights away against some really dangerous people. I don't think he intends to be around much longer and a second decisive win over Haye would be a good end to his career I think.

Haye I don't believe wants anything to do with the likes of AJ & Wilder, they're just too dangerous for him at this stage. He seems very different in the build up to this second fight, perhaps realizing he's no longer the fighter he once was due to his time away and injuries. I think anything other than an obliteration of Bellew and his career is done too. If he does spark Bellew out then something like Tyson Fury (providing he come back with no issues) would still be a pretty big fight to make. There's plenty of history and bad blood between them that I'm sure a lot of people would like to see resolved.

Of course Haye would take the AJ/Wilder fight. He's in it for the money and a fight against either but particularly AJ would earn him massive money. Bellew's already said he's not going near AJ or Wilder because he'll have no chance but the Fury fight's been talked up a bit and could be a possibility next year - it would pay well for both and it's a dangerous fight for either and by that I mean Fury should comfortably win without knocking Bellew's head off. I can't see a Fury/Haye fight though - Fury being with BT means it's unlikely to be worth nearly as much as an AJ fight and Fury is probably a trickier opponent than AJ is to Haye.
 
I forget... Did Haye go in to the first fight in injured and then had his achilles go completly? Or was he A-ok up until the point he got the injury in the ring. Did he ever actually land anything solid on Bellew?

He looked rusty but looked more likely as the fight progressed.

He didn't officially have an injury but went to see a specialist a week or so before the fight. He knew he was injured.

Painful watching him when it did go though. I didn't see anything from Bellew in the first fight to make me think he will beat even a rusty Haye, as long as Haye has 2 legs to fight on that is!
 
Rewatched the fight... Dont think haye ever really had bellew in trouble, he did land a few times and it certainly stung him but he was never badly shaken up... Bellew didnt really land on haye prior to thd injury but then his goal was always to take the fight long.... Hard to say how it would have turned out if Haye hadnt had the injury.

There was a lot of speculation in the week leading up to the fight that he was injured after he flew out to Germany(?) to see some top doctor. Whether that injury was the achilles or something else, who knows. Him being injured going into the fight would explain his tactics too as he came out swinging looking to end the fight as early as possible - whether that was just down to ego or because he was worried his body wouldn't last, again who knows.

He injured his achilles playing football or some form of exercise football, Eddie came out and mentioned it prior to the fight. Inbetweeners with Jay was funny today

I still can't figure out if Haye's manager was taking the **** on Monday or not. It was the cringiest thing I've seen in a very long time.
 
I am really looking forward to this fight.

With Haye I found respect for him for fighting on with that injury. And tbh, I hope he goes onto win this weekend.
 
I like Bellew, I enjoy his interviews with Kugan on iFL... But I hope Haye absolutely flattens him. He is acting like he beat a prime Haye and ignoring the fact that Haye was 3 or 4 rounds up on Bellew until his leg committed suicide and then it took him 5 further rounds to put someone away who was fighting on one leg.

Fair enough, he got the win no one expected him to get but he needs to stop acting like the injury didn't play a part. He is a massive overachiever and a great pundit but I hate his fighters persona.
 
If Haye wants to have any future in the fight game he needs to win this time and win decisively. There's still a reasonable cash out fight with AJ or Fury out there for him if he can prove he's still got something in the tank.

If he wins, I can see a Whyte fight then Wilder or maybe straight to Wilder thats my prediction.
