Everyone is ribbing old slow Joyce but he might surprise everyone, we have seen plenty of upsets in boxing recently.

I'm only taking the proverbial out of him but Joyce is actually a pretty sound boxer. If anything I'm backing him to beat Dubois as he hasn't fought anyone of note other than the domestic showdown with Nathan Gorman.

At least Joyce has been in there with fighters with a pulse and, even if he came off second best, been in there with fighters like Usyk. Dubiois hasn't done anything to make me think he isn't Bruno 2.0 but without the laugh.

so much stalling for advertising in the build up to the main event. i know there was a 1st round KO but damn they are wasting time. It's 10:00am for me and even im ****** off. Unwatchable for europeans.

yeah expected that to be very different. loma took forever to get started and left it way to late. As you say the cards are BS. I though lopez had it after winning the 12th but a draw was a possability.

I think lomas illusive nature hurts him sometimes, judges score some of the punches he dodges or blocks like they landed clean. I would say loma winning rounds 8,9,10 & 11 are nailed. 2nd & 7th were debatable and what could have made it a draw.

A strong 12th could have seen a very different result but the judges would have screwed him anyway after seeing the cards.

Very good performance from Lopez, but he didn't show anything special tbh. Loma went missing, which I put down largely to inactivity. Also I didn't realise how much bigger Lopez was tbh.

I didn't have it as clear cut as some. 119-109 is ridiculous. 116-112 sounds right. Lopez definitely won.

If loma had started applying the pressure 2 rounds earlier the outcome would have been very different

Lopez showed maturity. The real Loma didn't show up, but who's fault is that? Would Loma win a rematch over an even more confident Teofima? Slow and plodding fight, stupid scoring, but both guys got the result they deserved.

Is there even a rematch clause? Loma needs to bring it if there is.

Yeah I think game plan was to let Lopez slow and kill him with speed in the later rounds. Problem is he didn’t start to slow until the tenth and could catch little breathers.
