Cant wait for benavidez vs yarde i really hope he can do it

Always having to face a potential pound 4 pounder to try get a belt yarde has
yarde will get destroyed...ive been waiting all year for this. benavidez in my books is the best boxer on the planet. canelo wouldnt go near him he used to batter bivol in sparring. no one wants him. fair does to yarde but benavidez is a monster. look at the odds lol. benavidez odds 1/10. draw 20-1 which is worth a go tbh. yarde to win 6 - 1. yarde has had some really good close fights with the best the problem is hes lost each time and benevidez is better than all of those. cant wait for this weekend.

to be fair unless you mental you aint turning down 70 -90 million to fight a clown. thats generational wealth that will keep you your family and your next familys family going. for a easy nights work.
As I said, that mentality is why everything is **** and boxing is a joke.

He's worth 9 figures already, he has generational wealth.

I think it speaks to the human condition and is a microcosm of the societal issues we're facing. Two multimillionaires conning the dumb **** public (kids, mainly, I guess?).

I don't think pure boxing is in a bad place because the Saudis are funding all the big fights, we've had some great ones recently.

But this pantomime stuff has just reached extreme levels when a current heavyweight near the top of the sport is fighting an amateur guy (who isn't even a cruiserweight) who essentially works in marketing. And it's being billed as an actual fight. There was an article from Paul's trainer that I read earlier on the BBC (have they taken it down now? I can't find it) where he was suggesting that Paul stands a chance. Lol.

If they were fighting in the WWE I'd watch it. That would be great.

The next time people complain about Netflix price rises we can refer to this fight.
It's the same mentality tbf. Why not raise prices and stop households sharing logins when people keep paying it and the number of subscribers goes up when you ban it?

The rich keep milking and the poors keep buying. A never ending cycle.

That's what I don't get, when it was PPV I could see where they'd at least hope to recoup some of the revenue from but if they're giving some YouTuber and a mostly finished Heavyweight boxer over £100 million for this 'fight' where are they seeing the return on investment?

Will the gate receipts cover that? Cos it's not going to bring that many new eyeballs to Netflix.

often the super fights will probably lose money but saudi backs it to promote them. it will stop once they feel they have enough foothold and market share to dominate.

The Tyson Paul "fight" apparently "broke all the records" so they're probably thinking this one will do the same.

There’s only 2 possible outcomes for that circus, Joshua sends him to the shadow realm in under 3 minutes or it’s rigged.

He put Ngannou away in 2 rounds and Ngannou would beat the **** out of that YouTuber.

i cant believe more people arent talking about tomorrows nights fights its the best of this year one after another 4 title fights absolute cracker.

i think joshua will as you say either blast him in 1 round. or and i i think this will actually happen he will just carry him for the 8 rounds win on points to make him look good. maybe so can have a rematch. for more doe.

Whats i find weird about Ngannou is the complete fail from Tyson to put him down in a convincing fashion, horses for courses et al but it does show if your not properly prepared for the fighter infront of you anything could happen, JP plays on being a dreamer with a good wallet and i hate to say this but i suspect he's better than most peoples opinion of his boxing credentials, he certainly seems committed if somewhat unconventional.
I just hope AJ puts any "planned outcome" aside and knocks him into the next realm and show him what top tier boxing really means.

Listening to Francis afterwards, I don't think he recovered from the first clean headshot (was it a knock down?) he couldn't remember a lot of the fight. This explains why he basically lost his senses and didn't box - at the time I thought he reverted back to MMA stance because he thought it would work but in reality he was concussed and therefore on autopilot/MMA mode.

What do you base that on? Last I saw, he looks slow as **** compared to any top boxer. Does his boxing "record" scream of someone with boxing credentials or someone using fame to make money?

If he had boxing credentials he would be fighting actual, current boxers. Even the MMA guys he's fought have been holding back and/or old.

Now you could say AJ is a current boxer but it's such a mismatch that it's ridiculous to entertain it as anything other than a cash grab.

I hope AJ absolutely sparks him out - so that Paul becomes an internet meme for ever.

But at the same time - I'll laugh so hard if Paul beat AJ and AJ is still giving it "world championship title fights" chat after the event.

I think one of them pulls out with an injury, because this is the most one sided fight I have ever seen
